I had a fantastic holiday in Dalian. It was hot and the sea was blue and lovely.    I traveled by plane from London to Dalian. I really enjoyed the flight. It was thirteen hours long, but I didn’t sleep at all because I was so happy. I listened to music, saw a film    and talked to the girl    next to me. I stayed with my cousin in Dalian. On my last night there I went to bed at 11 o’clock!

Tian'anmen Square is one of the biggest city squares in the world. It is in the middle of Beijing. It was built in 1417. Now the square is 880 metres from north to south and 500 metres from east to west. The total area is 440, 000 square metres. That's about the size of 60 football fields. It is widely known as a national symbol(国家象征) now.

My name is Amy. Last autumn, I went to Beijing with my parents. Beijing is in the north of China. It has lots of beautiful places. I visited the Great Wall and took photos with my parents. I went to Tian’anmen Square. It is very beautiful. We stayed there for two weeks with my grandparents. We had a lovely time.

 Last year, we went to Beijing. We went to Tian'anmen Square. It is very big. Then, we went to the Great Wall. The Great Wall is over 2,000 years old. We also went to the Palace Museum. It's the largest museum in China. We had a good time. We want to go there again.

I have a good friend. His name is Johnson. He went to China last month. But I met him yesterday. He looked happy. He was back home last week. He had a good time in China. He bought a Chinese kite for me. I said "Thank you." to him. Then I asked him a question.

"Did you have any problems in talking with Chinese?"

"No," he said. "I can't speak Chinese well, but many Chinese can speak English well. "

Hello, boys and girls! I'm Lingling. I had a nice holiday. I went to Hangzhou with my father and mother. And we went there by train. We visited the famous West Lake. We saw lots of interesting things there. But I didn't see my friend Fangfang in Hangzhou. She was on holiday in Shanghai.

Kim went to a beautiful beach on Monday with his friends. It was sunny and hot. So they had great fun playing in the water. In the afternoon, they went shopping. But the shops were crowded, they didn’t really enjoy it.

The next day, it was rainy, so they went to a museum. It was boring. Kim found a small boy crying in the corner. The boy was lost. He helped the boy find his father. Kim was very happy. But he had no money for a taxi. So he had to walk back to the hotel. That made him very tired.

On Wednesday, the weather was very cool. So they played tennis. They played all morning. It was really fun.

Today we got up very early. We went to the Great Wall by bus. It was very far. It was about three hours by bus. The guide told us the food there was very expensive, so we bought some cakes, juice and peaches. We put them in one backpack, Zhang Fang took the backpack and I took the camera, because he said he was older and stronger than me.

When we got to the Great Wall, we saw many people at the entrance (入口). We had to stand in line and waited. It was our turn at last. We began to climb. At first I counted the steps, but soon I couldn’t remember the number. It is too high. We stopped to have a rest for several times. At last we got to the top of the wall. We were so excited! We’ve become real men!

There is a cinema on the wall. We saw a movie of the Great Wall. It was evening when we came back. We ate beef and noodles for supper. We had a good day today.

It is a Tuesday morning. Ann and her mother are on a big bus. There are many people on it. Some of them come from the U.S., and some come from England or Canada. They are all friends. They are going to the Forbidden City!

There are two Chinese on the bus. One is a young man. He is driving the bus. The other is a woman. She speaks English well. She is now talking about the Forbidden City. The other people are listening to her. They like the Forbidden City. They want to see it very much.
