Why do people go to school? The aim（目的）of going to school is to study. But it is not easy to study well. You may waste（浪费）either time or money. The following are the best ways of studying.

The best time reading is morning, because in the morning the air is fresh（新鲜的）and the mind is clear and you can get a better understanding（理解）.

When you are studying you must have patience（耐心）. If you don’t know a text well, you must read it again and again till you know it very well.

You must always ask “why”. If you can’t understand what you are studying, write it down and ask your teachers or parents, brothers or friends.

There are many ways of studying. Keep them in your heart and follow them, and you’ll do well in your studies.

We have twenty minutes’ rest between classes. Look! Most of us are playing during the rest time. Some students are on the playground. They are having a basketball game. Oh! A boy is running with a ball. And another is trying to stop him. They are so cool. And there are some girls watching the game. Some students are in the classroom. They are talking. A few of them are reading or doing homework. Look! A girl is looking at the birds in a tree in front of the classroom. She must be thinking of something interesting because she is smiling.What are the teachers doing? Do you know? Some of them are working in the office, and some are talking with students. Everyone is busy with his or her things. Busy and happy!

This is a Chinese girl. Her name is Wu Yan. She is a new student. She is in Yuying Middle School. She is in Class One, Grade Two. Bill is an American boy. He is eleven. He is Yuying Middle School, too. Miss Li is their PE teacher. She is a good teacher.

This is my school. It is in front of a park. It is very big and beautiful. There are twenty-one classes in our school. There are about six hundred students in it. It has three small gardens. 

There are three teaching buildings, too. Building A is for Grade 7. Building B is for Grade 8 and Building C is for Grade 9. There is another building behind the teaching buildings. 

There are two libraries and some reading rooms in it. We can borrow all kinds of books from our school libraries. I like my school.

This is our library. It opens at 8: 00 in the morning and closes at 5: 30 in the afternoon. There are many books in the library. We often come here to borrow books after class. When we borrow the books, we must obey the rules. We borrow only one book at a time and keep it for two weeks. There is a reading room in it. It’s bright and clean. We can read books there, but we can’t take them out.

My school is very big. It has sixteen classrooms. There are three hundred students in it. I’m in Class 2, Grade 4. There are two doors and six windows in my classroom. On the teacher’s desk, there is a computer. We have twenty-five desks and fifty chairs. There’re thirty boys and twenty girls in our class. We have three teachers. They are a Chinese teacher, an English teacher and a maths teacher. We all love our teachers.

There are forty students in our class. There are ten boys. There are thirty girls.
