I have got a toy bear. It's white. It has a small red hat and a back coat. Its name is Winnie. It's very lovely. I like to play with Winnie.

One day, a monkey rides his bike near the river. Suddenly, he sees a lion under a tree. The lion runs to him. He is afraid and falls into the river. He can’t swim. He shouts. The rabbit hears him. He jumps into the river. The rabbit swims to the monkey, but he can’t help him. Luckily, an elephant comes along. He is very strong. He helps the rabbit and the monkey. They are very happy. They go to the elephant’s home. Then, they become good friends.

Some people think that all wild animals are dangerous. But in fact, very few of them will attack a man if he leaves them alone. If you meet a lion or an elephant, I guess you will run away. But even a lion will avoid (躲避) a man if it is not very hungry. Lions and tigers only kill and eat men when they have grown too old and too weak to catch their usual food, such as deer and other small animals. If you see a wild elephant, perhaps you will be frightened. However, elephants usually run away at once if you don’t attack them. Some animals get very frightened if they smell a man. Some stand and look at him for a moment before they run away. Some take no notice at all but walk away quietly in another direction. Wild animals only attack people when they are afraid that people want to harm (伤害) their babies, or when the hunters shoot at them and make them angry.

 It's spring. One day, Mother Duck finds four eggs at her home. Three are small and one is big. She sits on the eggs. Three small eggs open. The ducklings are small and yellow. The big egg opens later. It's big and gray. It's ugly. Mother Duck doesn't like the ugly duckling. He is sad and swims away. In winter, it's cold. He has no home. It's spring again. The ugly duckling becomes a beautiful swan.

Today is Sunday. The weather is fine. I go to the zoo with my parents. There are many animals at the zoo. Look! The pandas are eating bamboo (竹子) slowly. Two ducks are swimming on a lake. Two elephants are walking and a tiger is sleeping. I like monkeys best. They are jumping here and there. They like eating bananas. They are clever. Look! The bear is eating meat.

There are many animals at the zoo. The bears are fat. The wolf is thin. It eats meat. The panda is black and white. The birds are small. They live in trees. The elephant is very big. Its nose is long. Its tail is short.
