I like the circus(马戏团). It is very exciting. I usually go to the circus with my friends on weekends.

It is in a large tent(帐篷). We see the lions and tigers first. The lions and tigers sit on benches(长凳). Then they jump through the fire.

Next a lady rides a horse. She rides round and round and does comic dances(滑稽舞) and tumbles(翻跟斗) on the horseback. Then we see the clown(小丑). He runs round and round and plays funny tricks.

Finally a girl walks across a rope(绳).

We eat popcorn and drink Coke. We all enjoy the time at the circus.

Anna and Jane are good friends. Anna’s favourite season is winter. Because she likes making snowman. But Jane doesn’t like winter. She thinks it’s too cold in winter. She likes spring best because it is warm, and she loves the new leaves and flowers. In spring, she often flies kites with her parents. Sometimes she goes for a walk with her grandparents. She always has a good time in spring.

My name is Jim Green. I’m a student. My hobbies are playing computer games, surfing the Internet and riding my bike. My brother’s hobby is making models. He likes watching TV, too. We are in the same school. My father is a bus driver. He drives the school bus. He likes swimming and running. My mother is a teacher. She teaches Chinese in our school. She likes reading very much. She usually reads book in the library.  I want to be an office worker. My brother wants to be a police officer.

Carol had a dog. It was a big brown dog. She took the dog for a walk in the park. The dog ran off and jumped at a man. “Oh, no!” said Carol. Then the god jumped in a pond(池塘). “Oh, no!” said Carol. At the end of the walk, Carol was tired, but the dog wasn’t.

When Carol got home, she had an idea. She got her go-cart out of the shed(她从车棚里取出了她的小推车). Carol put the dog in front of the go-cart. Then she got in. They went to the park. The big dog pulled the go-cart along. The big dog got tired but Carol didn’t. “What a good idea!” said everyone.

A little boy, Tommy, is walking home by moonlight (月光) .He feels another little boy is coming behind him. The boy stops a minute to listen, looks here and there, and then he says to himself: “Tommy, run quickly.” He runs quickly and gets to Mr. Green’s garden. He still（仍然）feels a boy is running after him. Tommy runs home quickly. He goes in and closes the door. He turns on the light. He looks out of the window and doesn’t see anybody. But be knows that the little boy always comes back after him when he goes out in the evening by moonlight.

Jenny and Li Ming watched Bob play basketball in the morning. They arrived at the gym(体育馆)at 6:30. Bob’s team played with the Orange Team. Everyone played hard! Jenny and Li Ming had fun at the gym. They yelled for Bob’s team. Finally, Bob’s team won.

In the afternoon they went to the sports shop.Liming bought a T-shirt.Jenny bought a pair of shoes.Then they went home.

They were very happy.

It' s about 4: 30, after three classes. It's time for sports. The students are on the playground. They are playing a football match. Li Dong is one of them. He is good at football. He plays well. He is on the school football team. Li Dong says,”I like playing football. It's my favourite sport,” Li Dong is playing with his classmates Pan Chen and Wang Hai. They say, “He is a football fan. Ronaldo is his favourite player.”

Look at the boys around the basketball court. Many boys are watching a basketball match. The tall boy, Tang Lin, is very good at playing basketball. He runs very fast and he plays well. Many of his friends say,“He is good at basketball. His favourite basketball player is Yao Ming. His team is sure to win.”

I hope they will be good players of our country in the future.

English breakfast is a very big meal—eggs, bread, tomato soup, tea, coffee and so on. For many people, lunch is a quick meal. In cities, there are a lot of fast food restaurants（餐馆）. People can buy sandwiches there. Students usually have lunch at school. Many students just take a sandwich, a drink and some fruit from home. “Tea” means two things. It is a drink and a meal! Some people have afternoon tea, with sandwiches, cakes or some bread. They usually have supper between（在……之间） 6:00 p.m. and 8:00p.m., and often all the family eat together. People often get take-away meals —they buy the food and then bring（带来） it home to eat.
