The USA is the fourth largest country in the world. It is smaller than Russia, Canada and China. Washington, D.C. is its capital. But it is a quiet city. New York is the biggest city in America and it’s one of the biggest cities in the world. It is in the east of the USA and at the mouth of Hudson River. A large part of the city is on Manhattan Island, a big island in the river. New York has a larger population than Washington, D.C. In New York we can see the famous statue, the Statue of Liberty.

It is Sunday afternoon. Liu Tao and his friend David are taking a walk in the park. There are many public signs in the park. They mean different things. Liu Tao knows a lot of things about them. Suddenly, they see a short man walking on the grass. Liu Tao points to the sign on the grass and says to him, “Sir, look at the sign! You can't walk on the grass.” The man smiles and says, “You are right, young man. But I'm the park keeper. I'm looking after the grass. I'm picking up the garbage on it.

My family

I have a happy family. There are four people in my family. They are my grandma, my father, my mother and I. My grandma is over 80. She still looks healthy. My father is a policeman. In my family, he is always the busiest one. My mother is a doctor. She makes sick people better. I am a primary school student. I study very hard at school. My parents love me very much. They always encourage me. I feel very happy and lucky to have such a wonderful family.
