My family

I am Tom. I’m eleven years old. I live near the school. I go to school every day. In my family there are three people. My father, my mother and I. My father is a bus driver. He is friendly. He has a lot of friends. My mother is a teacher. She works at my school. She does housework every day. I love them.

This is my room. Near the window there is a desk. I often do my homework at it. You can see some books, some flowers in a vase, a ruler and a pen. On the wall near the desk there is a picture of a cat. There is a clock above the end of my bed. I usually put my football under my bed. Of course there is a chair in front of the desk. I sit there and I can see the trees and roads outside.

Hello, I'm Li Lei. My weekend is very busy. I usually get up at 6:30 in the morning. I eat breakfast at 7 o'clock. Then I do morning exercises at 8 o'clock. I often do my homework on Saturday morning. I play sports in the afternoon. I usually clean my room on Sunday morning. In the afternoon I often read books and watch TV. This is my weekend.

We have twenty minutes’ rest between classes. Look! Most of us are playing during the rest time. Some students are on the playground. They are having a basketball game. Oh! A boy is running with a ball. And another is trying to stop him. They are so cool. And there are some girls watching the game. Some students are in the classroom. They are talking. A few of them are reading or doing homework. Look! A girl is looking at the birds in a tree in front of the classroom. She must be thinking of something interesting because she is smiling.What are the teachers doing? Do you know? Some of them are working in the office, and some are talking with students. Everyone is busy with his or her things. Busy and happy!

James Is Ill

James is a primary school student. He’s in Grade Three now. He has a round face and wears glasses. He likes playing football and swimming. But today he doesn’t go to school. He’s ill. He’s in bed. He had a bad cold. He must stay in bed for a week.

I have a new flat. There is a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and two bedrooms in it. Come and have a look at my bedroom. There is an air conditioner over the desk. There is an end table and a closet near the bed. And there is a picture over the bed. I have a trash bin behind the door. I empty the trash every day. Look! What’s under the desk? There is a chair. I love my bedroom. I clean my bedroom on Sundays.

I'm Wu Yifan. I'm 11 years old. I'm a good student at school. I can speak English well, sing English songs, dance and play basketball. I'm also a good child at home. I can help my mother cook the meals and wash the clothes. My sister is eight years old. She can play the pipa and draw cartoons. But she can't cook. My brother can do some kung fu. But he can't play the piano.

My name is Billy. I’m a boy. I am eleven. I'm in China now. My father is a doctor and my mother is a teacher. I like Chinese food ,but my parents don’t. They like bread. I have a nice room. There’s a bed, a desk and a chair in it. There’re many books on the desk. I like books. I often read books in the evening.

Mary lived in a small village. One morning, her father took her to her uncle’s home in a town. She had a good time there.  Before Mary left in the morning, her uncle gave her a jar and said, “There’s some candy in it, you may put your hand into the jar and take some when you want to eat.”  Mary looked at the jar when she was on the train. It has a long and small neck. She put her hand into the jar and took one piece. After a while, she put her hand into the jar and wanted to take five pieces. But she couldn’t get her hand out. She turned her hand again and again. At last she let four pieces go off. Then she could pull her hand out of the jar.
