My name is Li Ming. I get up at 6:30. I eat breakfast at 7:00. I go to school at 7:40. Class begins at 8:00. I have an English class and a maths class in the morning. I have a Chinese class in the afternoon. I play sports at 3:00 p.m. I go home at 4:30 p.m. This is my day.

Do you know my English teacher? My English teacher is a nice woman. Her name is Yu Li. She is tall and active. She speaks English very well. She is very clever and cool. She always plays with us. Her classes are very good. We all like her.

There is a bad king and all his people hate him. One hot day, the king goes to swim by himself in a river. Suddenly he feels very week and can’t move his hands or legs. At this dangerous moment, two farmers are working in the field and see everything. Of course, the farmers don’t know the man in the river is a king. So the farmers jump into the river and save the king out of the water.

The king thanks the farmers and says, “I’m your king. Ask for anything, and I will give it to you.”

I went to two cities to play during last summer holidays. They are Beijing and Hohhot.

I went to Beijing more than eight times. Beijing is the capital of China. It’s a big city. I am very familiar with Beijing. It takes an hour and forty minutes to travel from Nantong to Beijing by plane. There are many tall buildings in Beijing. My family visited the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, the Palace Museum, Beihai Park, the Space Museum and so on.

I went to the countryside of Beijing to go boating and fishing. It was very interesting. I like eating Beijing snacks. They are delicious. I also miss Beijing Duck. It is really nice.

Hohhot is in Inner Mongolia. There is lots of grassland there. The grassland is endless. The sky is bright blue. There are a lot of horses and sheep. They were running or eating grass when I got there. I rode a horse on the grassland. I picked some colourful flowers. We drank tea with milk. There is a small desert, it was very hot when I walked on it. The sand can sing.

These trips helped me open my eyes. I enjoyed my holidays.

Swimming is a very popular sport, especially in summer. People like swimming in summer because they feel comfortable in the water in hot weather. However, if you are swimming in a wrong place, it may not be safe. These years, a lot of people died when they were enjoying themselves in the water, and most of them were children. But some people still don’t pay attention to safety in swimming. They often think they swim so well that nothing can happen to them.

As the summer is coming, more and more people will swim in the river which is not as safe as the swimming pool. If you go swimming in the river, don’t forget that good swimmers drowned there. They died because they were not careful, not because they could not swim. So don’t get into the water when you are alone. If there is a “No swimming” sign, don’t get into the water, either. If you remember these, swimming will be safer.

I am busy on weekends. On Saturday morning, I always go to my music club. On Saturday afternoon, I often stay at home and do my homework. Sometimes I go shopping. On Sunday morning, I help my mother clean the room. On Sunday afternoon, I often play ping-pong or basketball.
