In the past two years, our school had organized many activities. What impressed me most was an activity calling “Learning to Farm”. On a autumn afternoon, we went to a farm, which we learned to plant potatoes. Having in the city for such a long time, we were so happily to go to the countryside. After we got there, we were divided into three groups, but we started to work. Some students cut potato plants （马铃薯秧）into pieces, some dug hole, and the others put the pieces of potato plants into the holes, put the soil back and pushed them down hard. We were all busy working until all the work was done. Though we were tired out, we felt pleased on our way back to home.

The Students' Union organizes an activity for give away books to children in poor mountainous areas in our library on the afternoon of July 1.Its purpose was to call on more students to caring for the children's life and studies there.

Students were glad to give away some of their books and wrote down encouraged words on the first pages of them. In addition to，they left their telephone number and address，hoping to be contacting by the children. In end，more than one thousand books was collected.

The activity doesn't only allow students in their school to show their love for others but also helps them make new friend.

As new students at an university in Boston，many of us were unfamiliar with the campus but consequently late for class. One professor，however，was particular intolerant of being late，making clear that no excuse would be acceptable. So when a girl student came to his class one morning later，we expected the worst results. Then the professor demands the reason for her coming late.“I was being waiting online to buy your new book，”she replied very nervously. While looked at the rest of the class，the professor asked，“Well，why was not the rest of you late？”
