My kids and I were heading into the supermarket over the weekend. On the way, we spotted a man holding a piece of paper that said, “_______ my job. Family to Feed.”

At this store, a _______ like this is not normal. My 10-year-old noticed him and make a _________ on how bad it must be to have to stand _________ in the cold wind.

In the store, I asked each of my kids to _______ something they thought our “friend” there would _________. They got apples, a sandwich and a bottle of juice. Then my 17-year-old suggested giving him a _________. I thought about it. We were _______ on cash ourselves, but… well, sometimes _______ from our need instead of our abundance is ________ what we need to do! All the kids __________ something they could do away with for the week.

When we handed him the bag of ________, he lit up and thanked us with ________ eyes. When I handed him the gift card, saying he could use it for __________ his family might need, he burst into tears.

This has been a wonderful ________ for our family. For days the kids have been looking for others we can ________! Things would have played out so __________ if I had simply said, “No, we really don’t have __________ to give more.” Stepping out not only helped a brother in ________, it also gave my kids the __________ taste of helping others. It’ll go a long way with them.

   You dash through a crowded railway station, tripping over bags, spilling your coffee, only to have the doors slide shut in your face, leaving you breathless on the platform as the train pulls away.

But at least, if you're in France, someone may be playing the piano for you. But it won't be performed by a paid musician, or even a street entertainer playing for coins. It will just be a random passer-by, jamming (即兴演奏) for the fun of it on one of the pianos that the national railroad company, S. N. C. F. , has fixed in nearly 100 stations across France. They are free for anyone to play, and travelers from all walks of life have taken to doing just that.

Gares & Connexions, the S. N. C. F. division that manages its stations, rents the instruments from producer, Yamaha, which maintains them and tunes them every month or two. The first one was set up in the Gare Montparnasse in Paris in 2012.

The music, mixed with the sounds of shouting passengers, screaming trains and rolling suitcases, gives French stations a special soundscape. The amateur (业余的) musicians have included Irish soccer fans and even babies. In 2014, Gares & Connexions and Yamaha organized a nationwide contest called Your Turn to Play, asking participants to submit (提交) videos of themselves using one of the pianos. It drew nearly 900 entries.

Isn't the railroad company taking a big chance? Obviously not. "None of the instruments has been vandalized to this day, or even merely damaged," said Claire Foumon, a spokeswoman for Gares & Connexions. "They are shared and respected by all. " So if you miss a train in Paris one day, perhaps someone will be playing a favorite piece that will ease your pain. Or perhaps you'll sit down and play your annoyance away yourself.

   Super-dad Alan Lawrence，a photographer from Utah，has posted some amazing photos of his son flying in the air.

Lawrence said his two-year-old _____ Wil was born with a terrible disease — Down Syndrome，_____Lawrence is determined that this won't _____ him back in life.

When Wil was little，he would lie on his stomach and _____ his arms and legs like he was flying. “It wasn't something any of my other _____ did. My family would always _____ that he was trying so hard that one day he would start _____ ，”Lawrence told USA TODAY.

He decided to make Wi's flight a _____ by using Photoshop to create images of Wil hovering（盘旋）_____ places the family had visited.

The series of ______ ，called“Wil Can Fly”，is part of a 2016 calendar，with half the earnings from sales donated to two Down Syndrome funds.“The series ______ a reminder that people with Down Syndrome can do ______ they set their minds to，”Lawrence said.

Though appearing happy，Alan admitted that he and his wife didn't always feel so ______.“After the doctor informed us that he had Down Syndrome，we had ______. We weren't quite sure what the ______ held for our family，and we were ______ and knew very little about what to expect.”

However，these fears soon ______ once Wil was born. Alan explained:“In the short two years since he ______ ，he has helped our family grow in ways we didn't realize we needed. Our family with Wil is happy.”

And now they' re on their way to ______ this love and knowledge, saying“We want to show the world that you can have a ______ life with a child with Down Syndrome.”

   Yesterday I was a bit early for a date so I stopped in at McDonald’s for a coffee. I think they make the best coffee. Two very pleasant young girls were working at the counter and the customer ahead was hard to please!

The young girl was sweaty and near tears. I only wanted coffee but I liked lots of milk in it. I really didn’t want to be difficult so I said, “You go ahead and add lots of milk and if it’s not enough, I’ll ask for more.” She smiled. She made a perfect coffee. I left her two pink candies as a tip (小费).

I went to her supervisor and let the leader know how well she dealt with such a difficult customer ahead of me. More of that needs to be done for young people starting out — probably the first job.

I remember how hard it was. I would have run away crying and quit, if it had been me yesterday serving those customers. I’d still be crying too.
