For the past six weeks, I have been lucky enough to visit schools and bookstores nationwide to meet young people and talk about my new book!

Through my experience, the most remarkable(引人注目的)thing is that wherever I am, kids tend to ask me the same kinds of questions. They always want to know why women's rights are so important. Besides, they always ask me what issue I most care about. From the bottom of my heart, this is my favorite question to get, because it's the one I tried to answer in my book. I tell them that there is something important that they should focus their attention on. That is where I think they can make a difference.

Once, a parent who came to my book signing brought a group of girls who were reading my book as part of their book club. They came to the signing with their copies of my book covered with tiny sticky notes. When I asked what the sticky notes were for, they told me that they marked each fact that they thought was really important with a note. Later that parent emailed me a video of the girls talking about the later chapters(章)of my book. I have to admit, that video made me smile.

I didn't necessarily mean to shock readers, but I did hope that reading these facts would inspire them to make a difference in their families, their communities and the world around them. And because of readers like those girls and their book club, I am posting this Call to Action video. Facts and information are incredibly important, but they're just the beginning. Like the words on the cover of my book, the world belongs to each of us, and once we're informed and inspired, it's time to get going!

I hope after you watch this video, you'll think about what issue you care most about and then you' ll encourage all the kids in your life to do the same. With a little information, every kid can make a difference, and every kid can answer the question: It's your world—what will you do?

How to inspire children to explore the world full of mysteries? An organization is using a special way to make children interested in the unexplained world.

12-year-old Christian Kasdorf says, “Being up in the sky is really great. I would like to be a pilot someday.” He told the Dakota County Star, a local newspaper in South Sioux City, Nebraska, “It’s fun. And you get to see things from above.”

Not only did Christian get a chance to ride in an airplane earlier this month, but also learned about flying it, thanks to a program called Young Eagles, which is created by the US Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). It’s designed to give children between the ages of 8 and 17 a chance to experience flight in an aviation (航空) airplane while educating children about aviation. This program offers donations and volunteers (志愿者) free of charge. The lessons are free. All you need is that your parents allow you to do so.

“It is just to get kids in the air to experience flying — and get them informed about aviation,” said Rick Alter, president of the EAA, which started the Young Eagles program hack in 1992. Since then, nearly two million kids across the United States and Canada have taken Young Eagles flight.

“All kids should experience the freedom of flight at least once. All the kids really seem to like it. And it’s a great way to get them interested in aviation,” Rick told Time reporter Sean Leary.

Young Eagles teams kids up with experienced pilots who show them what to do and how to do it. “Kids have a chance to help control the aircraft. They get an idea of how the aircraft flies and what the instruments and controls do,” said Dick Foat, a pilot from Big Bear, California.

“It wasn’t as nervous as I had expected. The hardest part was the landing,” Christian said. “I was scared at first. But I got used to it.”
