The following is a father's advice to his son or daughter, who has just graduated from high school:
First of all, congratulations on your graduation!Graduation from high school means that a new stage of life is ahead of you.At the beginning of this new stage, I have some advice for you.
Clean your own room and do your own laundry(洗衣物的活). After you have messed up(弄乱)something, you should learn to clean it up yourself.Cleanliness is indeed close to godliness(信奉上帝).
Don't mistake knowledge for wisdom. No matter how much information or knowledge you have gained, you'll never make sound(正确的)judgments if you don't have wisdom. Wisdom comes from imagination and reflection(反省).If you can imagine the possible future outcomes of your present decisions and actions, you can avoid mistakes. And if you can reflect on the mistakes you have made, you can avoid making the same mistakes again and again.Such is wisdom.
Don't complain. When you take up a job, do your best to carry it out.Don't waste time complaining about it, no matter how difficult and boring it is.
Finally, be an early bird.If you get up earlier than the sun, you can watch it rising up slowly into the sky.And the sight of the rising sun will warm your heart and give you energy for the day ahead.Besides, being an early bird, you have plenty of time to take exercise or do a lot of work.

Tencent announced yesterday that it would limit the daily time for youngsters to play its popular King of Glory game after parents in Shanghai and other areas complained their children had become addicted to playing it.

"From tomorrow, children younger than 12 will only be allowed to play the game for a maximum(最大值)of one hour a day,and after 9 pm,they will be banned from logging in it,"said Tencent."Those older than 12 will be able to play a maximum of two hours a day."

The game system will remind players the time they have been playing and young players will be forced to log out when the time is up.

Tencent claimed these were the strictest measures in China's game industry to prevent addiction and the company expected they would ease parents' anxiety.

The company also said it had updated its system for parents to keep tabs on their children using its games.

Since February, parents can receive messages when children log in and spend money on the game after they connect children's game accounts with their mobile phone numbers.

"Now, parents can connect phones, tablets or computers that their children use to play games, so that they can keep an eye on the children even if they have several game accounts," Tencent said.

Song Zhe, a father of a Shanghai high school student, welcomed the measures but was not sure if they would be sufficiently effective."    Friends should always be honest with you, right? So when they lie, it can  be really hard to take. You want to trust your friends and that means knowing that they'll tell it to you straight no matter what it is. But a friend who lies isn't always trying to hurt you. Why does this happen?

Protect your feelings

One of the biggest reasons friends lie is simply to avoid hurting your feelings.

Some people don't understand the difference between being gently honest with a friend and being so straightforward(直接了当的)that they leave a verbal wound. They choose to avoid these two extremes in the form of a lie.

What you can do: Encourage your friends to be straight with you. No matter what their answer is, let them know you are grateful for it.

They feel embarrassed

Sometimes friends will lie about things in their life because they are too embarrassed to admit the truth. Maybe they are going through a rough time and they just don't want you to know about it.

What you can do: Avoid trying to badger(纠缠)your friend into telling you what's wrong. Instead, make it clear that you are there for them when and if they are ready to talk.

Avoid an argument with you

Perhaps your friend knows that if they tell you the truth, you'll get angry with them. Avoiding conflict is not always healthy for a friendship because it allows problems to grow over time. If you have a bad temper(脾气), your friend might try and avoid getting into an argument with you and instead just tell you what you want to hear.

What you can do: Make sure that if a friend tells you something unpleasant, you don't overreact. Consider what's being said and why your friend is telling you this. If you do end up arguing, do it in a respectable way.

Exclude you

Lying isn't always a sign that friends are trying to protect you, however. Sometimes they lie because they want to exclude you from their plans.

What you can do:When you find out with certainty that your friend is lying to you, try and face it. Be forewarned, however, that if a friend lies to begin with, he or she may lie when asked a direct question about his or her dishonesty. Go with your guts on this. If you feel your friend is lying because he or she doesn't want to be around you, that's your wake-up call to move on.
