Last Sunday, I go to the Beijing Olympic Forest Park with my friend Chris. As soon as we got there, we were so attracting by the breathtaking scenery that we couldn’t help take many photos to record the beautiful moments. As we walked on, we noticed a kite hanging up on a branch, but its owner, little boy, was too short to get it down. The boy looked worried but we decided to help him. Unlucky, the kite was also beyond their reach. Then we looked around and found a slick, with that we got the kite down. We gave the kite away back to the boy. He was very delightful and thanked us for what we did.

   In the town of Boone，8 years ago this summer，a Chick-fil-A was built and all the parents and children were delighted to have a place with great food and a wonderful indoor playground. But there was one little girl who couldn't enjoy the food because her treatments made all food tasteless. She was most disappointed，however，that she was not able to play on the new playground that she saw so often on the way to the doctor's office. This was because her immune system（免疫系统）was nearly non-existent，and her parents and doctors were concerned that she might pick up a bad germ（病菌）.

One day when she was at the doctor's office，the manager of Chick-fil-A，who happened to be the husband of her favorite nurse and was bringing her lunch，knelt down before the little girl and asked her if she had been to the new place to play. The little girl sadly explained her health issues and the reason for her absence. The man held her and cried with her.

The next day，the little girl received a phone call from the man to meet him in the parking lot on Sunday. The girl's mom said，"I thought you are closed on Sundays." He said，"We do，but I have a surprise for your little girl. Oh，make sure she has play clothes and bring her best friend."

That Sunday，the little girl，her mom and dad，her best friend and her mom went to Chick-fil-A. The manager locked the door behind them，and disinfected（消毒）the entire play area from top to bottom twice. He served them cold fountain drinks and ice cream，and then played with the little girls until they could play no longer.

I know this story to be true because the little girl is my daughter, Makala. She will never forget the sacrifice and kindness of the manager. She will forever love him, and now that she is cancer-free, Chick-fil-A has the best chicken in her opinion.

   After stepping out of the international plane, I realized my 10-hour sleepy voyage finally came to an end. Sitting on the bus, I was waiting anxiously for it to start. A woman, sitting next to me, and her daughter both seemed _______ . She told me that her daughter had an upset stomach and would throw up（呕吐）continuously；_______ the mother had lost her _______ . Apart from a significant amount of money ,the purse also had her cellphone and a phone number of an important _______ , a person she was traveling 90 kilometers to meet for discussing an urgent matter which had to be _______ by the next morning.

I handed her my cellphone _______ and told her that she could make any call she wanted. I also _______ a bottle of water I had in my bag to relieve her daughter of her _______  

After making several calls, they finally _______ to the official. They turned to look at me ________ and thanked me many times. The woman tried to pay for my _________ , but I jumped to do it before her _________ I knew she had lost her money.

The next morning, I received a _________ from the mother, saying that they couldn’t tell how my _________ act touched them. They were so considerate that they had taken down my number to thank me. I was _________ to be thanked in this way. I never thought my simple offer _________ so much in her heart. And I thought of how many opportunities for _________ we had lost by focusing on cellphones and being _________ from the reality around us - _________ with easy access may make a big _________ to others.

   Trekking (徒步旅行) 500 miles across Spain is no easy task for anyone, but for the wheelchair user Justin Skeesuck, achieving the dream seemed nearly impossible. However, Skeesuck’s lifelong best friend, Patrick Gray, simply didn’t accept that idea. He said, “We’ve done everything together so far. Why don’t we have one more adventure?”

That’s exactly what he did — pushing Skeesuck across northern Spain’s Camino de Santiago. Though Skeesuck has a muscle disease similar to ALS (肌萎缩侧索硬化) and high blood pressure, he first got the idea to go on the journey after he watched a travel show about the trail. He said, “I knew immediately since my heart was just telling me, ‘You need to do this.’”

With Gray on board and the blessings of their family, the two best friends from Idaho set off to make Skeesuck’s dream of going for the journey a reality. However, neither Gray nor Skeesuck realized how physically and emotionally arduous the trip would be. Not only did they have a strict time limit — about six weeks to get from start to finish, but they also faced extremely difficult obstacles (障碍). With Gray pushing Skeesuck in a three-wheel wheelchair, the pair crossed mountains, rivers and a desert. “I’ve never been that physically exhausted in my entire life,” Gray said. The pair came across countless kind people during their trip who were eager to help them finish their journey, but they refused their help with gentle words. 34 days later, the two best friends finished their journey, realizing a dream that helped them learn about themselves and others. “The adventure has taught me for sure that when you do something with faith, and never give up, amazing things can really happen,” Skeesuck said.

Gray recorded their incredible trip in a book — “I’ll Push You: A Journey of 500 Miles, Two Best Friends and One Wheelchair”, which would be published soon. Skeesuck and Gray are also working on a children’s book that will tell the story of their adventure. They hope that the book will give kids strength when they deal with difficulties.
