I am Lucy. I am eleven years old. I was born on April 16.I go to Willow Primary School in Canada.

There are six people in my family. My grandparents are farmers. My father is a taxi driver. He is very funny. My mother is a nurse. She is very kind. My brother likes playing football. We love each other.

This is our new house. There are two bedrooms. The big one is for my mum and dad. My bedroom is small, but it's beautiful. I like it. Our living room is very big.

We often watch TV there. There is a kitchen and a bathroom, too. They are not big but clean.

Mr White lives in a nice house in a small town with his wife（妻子）, Mrs White.

From Monday to Friday he teaches in a school near his house. He is free on Saturdays and Sundays. He has a nice garden beside his house. He likes growing flowers and he often works in the garden on Saturdays and Sundays. The flowers are very beautiful and Mrs White likes them very much. She often helps Mr White.

My name is Lucas. I’m ten years old. I live in a house. It’s near the gym, but it’s far from school. I go to school by bus. I have a little pet cat. It’s yellow and white. I like my cat. I like to play with it. Ann is my friend. She is eleven years old. She lives near my home. She likes to play ping-pong. On Saturday or Sunday, we go to the gym with my pet cat.

An old woman lived in the country. She had three sons. They were Kim, Mike and John. They left home to make money and became rich soon. This year they came back together on Mother's Day. Each of them had a gift for their mother.

Kim bought a big and beautiful house for mum. Mike sent her a car. John's gift was a parrot that could speak to mum.

Several days later, mum sent them letters of thanks:

 “Kim,” she wrote to one son, “the house you bought is so large. I live in one room, but I have to clean the whole house.”

 “Mike,” she wrote to another, “I am too old to travel. I spend most of the time at home, so I don't use the car.”

 “Dearest John,” she wrote to her third son, “you really know what I like. The chick was delicious. Thanks.”

A Sports Festival

Today is Monday. The sky is very blue. A Sports Festival in our school is coming. On the playground, there are many students and players. Some football players are playing football over there, and many students are watching. Near the field, the boys are playing basketball.

There is a big tree near the office building. Under the tree, some girls are playing table tennis. Ann, Sue and many other girls are playing volleyball beside the tree. Look! There are some boys in the tree. They are watching their classmates playing volleyball.

It is a Tuesday morning. Ann and her mother are on a big bus. There are many people on it. Some of them come from the U.S., and some come from England or Canada. They are all friends. They are going to the Forbidden City!

There are two Chinese on the bus. One is a young man. He is driving the bus. The other is a woman. She speaks English well. She is now talking about the Forbidden City. The other people are listening to her. They like the Forbidden City. They want to see it very much.

It is Saturday morning. The sky is blue. My father and I are going to the park. There are a lot of people in the park. Some children are running on the grass. A dog is running after them. Some men are sitting on the grass. They are talking. Two girls are flying a nice kite. Three women are standing under a tree, and they are watching the children playing. There is a boat in the lake and two women are boating. Everyone in the park is very happy.
