Where Are My Sandwiches?

A man is going to see his friend. He takes some sandwiches with him because his friend's home is very far. On his way, he says to himself, "My friend is going to give me a very good meal." Then he throws them away. He goes on and comes to a river. There's no boat on the river. He can't cross it. He starts to go home. He is hungry now. And he tries to find his sandwiches. "Oh, my god. A dog has them. "He quickly goes up, but the dog runs away. He is still hungry and goes back home.

My name is Chen Jie. I’m from Shanghai. There are four seasons in a year. I like spring best. It’s warm and rainy. The air is clean. The trees are green. The flowers come out. They’re beautiful. I often go for a walking with my parents. I have a friend, Amy. She’s from England. Winter is her favourite season. Because the weather is very cold. It snows there. She can make a snowman with her friends. It’s funny.

Birds don't fly high up in the sky. The air is too thin. It is hard for birds to breathe (呼吸) іn thin аіr. Тhin aіr dоеѕn't hоld thеm uр.

Birds fly near the ground so that they can see where they are. They look for places they know. Then they do not get lost. Some birds fly so low over the ocean that the waves often hide them. Many birds fly long distances (距离) in spring and autumn.

The Huangpu River is the mother river of Shanghai. It starts in Lake Dianshan, Qingpu. Most of the water in Lake Dianshan comes from Tai Lake. The Huangpu River is about 114 km long. It is an important waterway in Shanghai. It runs through Qingpu, Songjiang. Jinshan, Fengxian, Minhang, Pudong, Xuhui, Huangpu and so on. The Huangpu River meets the Suzhou River in Huangpu and then runs through Yangpu and Baoshan. Then it runs into the Yangtze River and finally it runs into the sea. The Huangpu River is very beautiful and important. Everyone should keep it clean.

I am a middle school student. My name is Juliet. I'm thirteen. I have a friend. Her name is Lily. She is fourteen. She is an English girl. We are in the same class. Lily can play basketball and I can swim. Lily's mother is a teacher and her father is a firefighter. They are both forty-four. Lily's father often tells us about fire safety. Both Lily and I remember we mustn't play with matches at home. It's dangerous.

 Nancy goes out after lunch. She comes in a shop. A salesman says to her, "Can I help you?"

"Yes, please." says Nancy, "I want a hat."

The salesman shows some hats to her. She feels warm in the shop and puts her hat on the counter (柜台). She thinks some of them are expensive. And she doesn't like the others' colours. She chooses and chooses. At last she sees a red hat and says, "Well, I'll take this one."

"But, it's yours!" says the salesman.

   Doctors must learn all about our body. So they have to stay in their medical(医学的)schools for a very long time. And they learn a lot of things about our body’s system(系统). When we feel sick, we will go to see a doctor at once.

Teachers also spend(花时间) a lot of time in learning how to teach others. There are teachers for each subject, for example, Chinese teachers, Maths teachers, English teachers and so on.

When you are in the UK, you must be careful in the streets because the traffic(车辆) drives on the left. Before you cross a street, you must look to the right first and then to the left. In the morning and in the evening when people go to work or come home from work, the streets are very busy. It is the most dangerous then.

When you take a bus in the UK, you have to be careful too. Always remember the traffic moves on the left. Have a look first, or you may go the wrong way.

In many cities of the UK, there are big buses with two floors. You can sit on the second floor. From there you can see the city very well. It’s interesting.

When you speak, write an e-mail or make a phone call, you are communicating(交流) with words. Sometimes you can communicate without words. A smile on your face shows you are happy and friendly. Tears in your eyes tell others that you are sad. When you put up your hands in class, your teacher knows you want to say something or ask questions. You nod and people know you are saying “Yes”. You shake your head and people know you are saying “No”. These carry messages(消息) for you. Other things can also carry messages. For example(例如), a sign on the bus tells you where it goes. Signs in public(公众的) places tell you what to do or not to do.

People can also communicate in many other ways. An artist can draw beautiful mountains, the blue sea and many other things. A writer can write about all the wonderful things in the world and also about people. Books, magazines(杂志), TV, radio and films all help us communicate with others.
