Welcome to my school. There are 30 classrooms in my school. Look! That is the teaching building（教学楼）.The building has two floors. The computer room and the music room are on the second floor. The teachers' office and the art room are on the first floor. My classroom is on the first floor, too. There are forty-five students in my class. I like my classroom. It's big and clean.

I like many kinds of sports, basketball is one of them. In this sport, every member is an important part. Basketball is a sport more than just exercising. It needs team work. No one can play himself. A team should work together. We can enjoy running, jumping, shooting in the basketball game together with other members. No matter we win or not, we are happy, because we are fighting during the game, and our body become healthier. Come on, friends, love this game please, and enjoy your health and joy!

Basketball requires speed, height and skills. I run, jump, switch, and try to hit! All parts of my body are exercised in this sport. I feel that I’m like wind flying in the playground for my goal. It makes me feel so great!

Basketball stars are usually tall. The stars of other sports are sometimes short. Some of the best football players are not very tall. Short people often have better balance than tall people, so they do not fall over very often. In some sports the players must have good balance, for example, table tennis and running. You do not need long legs to run fast! Some of the fastest runners in the world are not very tall. Some are tall and some people are short. There is no medicine to make people grow taller or to make people shorter.

Today young people in many countries grow taller than their parents. This is because they eat better food today. Good food can help children grow.

A man went into his doctor's room.

“I want you to give me the medicine to make me clever,” the man told his doctor. His doctor agreed to do it.

A week later. the man came back. “Still don't feel clever.” he said.

“Keep taking this medicine, come back next week, and you will become clever,” said the doctor.

“I still don't feel clever, are you playing a joke on me?” the man said the next time he came, “Do you really have this kind of medicine?”

Linda is from Australia. She is eleven. Her father, Mr Brown, works in a big shop in Shanghai Linda has a brother. His name is Mike He is only four. It is Sunday today. Linda's family are all at home. Mr Brown is sitting in a sofa and reading today's newspaper. Mrs Brown is out of the house. She is watering the flowers. Is Linda with her mother? No, she is cleaning her new bike Where is Mike? He is in his room. He is playing with his cat. What a happy family!

I like sports very much. I usually do sports in my spare time. I am strong and in good health. Of all the sports, badminton（羽毛球）is my favourite. I think it's very interesting. Sometimes I play badminton with my classmate, and sometimes with my father. My father is a badminton lover too. He often plays badminton for one hour after dinner. Do you like playing badminton?

The children will learn about Australia next week. They want to find out about this country before lessons.

There is a city in the world. It is the city of Venice. It is in Italy(意大利). People do not drive cars in that city. There are no streets in Venice. But there are canals(运河，水道). The canals look like streets. There is much water in those canals. In Venice people ride about the city in boats. Your father and mother go to work in a bus. In Venice, fathers and mothers go to work in a boat.
