April Fool’s Day is a day for all of us to have some fan and play a few jokes on our friends or even on strangers. The story below will show what I mean. Enjoy it!

On April 1, all kids will have a safe place to surf the Web. Nations around the world have started a plan to make a new World Wide Web — just for kids! You can now surf safely without running into anything not proper for kids.

Beginning on April 1, all kids have to register (注册) with the World Wide Web for Kids(www4k). You will no longer be able to surf the “www”.

The World Wide Web for Kids, will only contain selected (挑选的) websites proper for kids under 13. A group of experts will review all content on it. All kids under 13 must surf this section of the World Wide Web — if kids under 13 are caught on the “regular” Web they may face serious fines.

All the nations can track (跟踪) all computers online and will be able to find if a child under 13 is surfing the wrong section of the Web. You will be kicked out of the regular “www” and sent to the new World Wide Web for Kids section. Your parents will then be told that you have been on the wrong Web.

All proper websites will now have to use “www4k”. For example, children’s familiar http://kidsturncentral.com will now be located at http://kidsturncentral.www4k.

   When Dekalb Walcott Ш was just 8 years old, his father, a Chicago fire chief, let him tag along on a call. Dekalb says a lot of kids idolized (崇拜) basketball player Michael Jordan when he was growing up in Chicago in the1990s. Not him.

“I wanted to be like Dekalb Walcott Jr, ”he says of his father. So when his dad asked if he wanted to go on that call with him when he was 8, Dekalb was excited. “I'm jumping up and down, saying, ‘Mom, can I go? Can I go?’”

The experience changed Dekalb's life, and he told his dad on a visit to StoryCorps. “My eyes got big the moment the alarm went off, ” the younger Dekalb says. “This is the life that I want to live someday. ”

Now 27, the younger Dekalb is living that life. He became a firefighter at 21 and went to work alongside his dad at the Chicago Fire Department. Before his father retired, the pair even went out on a call together-father supervising (监督)son.

“You know, it's everything for me to watch young row, ”his father says. But he also recalls worrying about one particular fire that his son faced.

“I received a phone call that night. And they said, ‘Well, your son was at this fire. ' I said, ‘OK, which way is this conversation going to go?'”Dekalb Walcott Jr. recalls.

“And they said, ‘But he's OK. And he put it out all by himself. Everybody here was proud of him. ’”

“And the word went around, ‘Who was out there managing that fire? Oh, that’s Walcott!That's Walcott up there!’So, you know, moments like that, it's heaven on earth for a dad. ”

Dekalb Walcott Jr. has retired. The younger Dekalb says he's proud of being a second-generation firefighter. “You know, it makes me look forward to fatherhood as well, because I'm definitely looking forward to passing that torch (火把) down  to my son. ”

   I am a mom of two young children whom we homeschool. This _____ that they are with me almost all the time. I could see the young man watching and listening with a smile on his face.

We were putting our groceries on the ______ when the cashier finished with his order. What I didn't know was that he had heard my kids ______ bubble gum. I had agreed they could have some. So he ______ a pack of bubble gum and asked the cashier to ring it through twice ______ putting it back. He then told my kids that he bought their gum because their mom was ______ enough to let him go ahead in the queue.

The experience really showed the ______ that good begets（引发）good to my lovely little kids.

   When a mom attended school to help her disabled son, her son and the school thanked her in the sweetest way. It wasn't until after his college years that Marty became disabled after __down stairs. When her son __to get his MBA, Judy O'Connor attended every class with him to help him write and __. Every day, Judy would sit by Marty in class, taking notes to make sure of __specific requests, raising her hand so he could answer questions, and silently writing down his __on test days. "After a little while, we found that working together we could __a great deal, " Marty says.
