Last week, my schoolmates and teachers were organized to climb the East Mountain located 20 kilometers away from their school. As soon as we arrive at the foot of the mountain, we set about climb with great passion. On our way up, we had so much difficult walking along the steep hill that we were tiring out. But with the teachers 'help, we managed to reach for the top of the mountain that we were greeted by the bright sunshine and beautiful view. Seeing from the top, the city looked like a huge garden. This mountain climbing activity turned out to be great success. Not only did we take a break from our heavy school work, and we also had a chance to get close to nature.

   After stepping out of the international plane, I realized my 10-hour sleepy voyage finally came to an end. Sitting on the bus, I was waiting anxiously for it to start. A woman, sitting next to me, and her daughter both seemed _______ . She told me that her daughter had an upset stomach and would throw up（呕吐）continuously；_______ the mother had lost her _______ . Apart from a significant amount of money ,the purse also had her cellphone and a phone number of an important _______ , a person she was traveling 90 kilometers to meet for discussing an urgent matter which had to be _______ by the next morning.

   I now remember the day as if it were just yesterday. It was the early morning hours and I had _____ to my dad several hours before. My mother called me back after a few minutes and told me that my father had ______.

I’m still so lost that sometimes I pick up the ______ to call my dad and then I remember he’s not there for me to make a phone call to. ______, I see something that would have made him ______ and I laugh twice for him too. My mother is so much ______ than I am. She is back at work and going on with her life and I’ve done the ______ but not like her. I know she ______ my father dearly but she is strong and keeps on so that everybody else can ______ her lead. So that is what I’m trying to do: stay strong and keep my ______ up.

It isn't hard for everyone to grow up into a responsible members of society.

I can well remember an accident that happens on a rainy Sunday afternoon. I was on my way to bookstore and was waiting for the green light at a crossing when a girl of about ten was knocked down by a passing car, what drove off quickly. A man immediately rushed to the girl to give him first aid and I joined in without hesitation. Lucky she was not badly injured but we sent her to the nearest hospital. Comparing with the escaped driver, I am pride of what I did.

As a member of society, I am aware of that being responsible is what it takes to make a better society.

   Determined to keep my private life from the census taker（人口普查员），I locked the front door. After several more days of _________to answer the door，one afternoon I _________ to my car. The census taker，who had been _________all week to catch me，spotted me and ran up to _________.I told the man firmly I would not answer his questions. He glared at me and _________ walked away.

A week went by. All my neighbours had _________their census questions，and the census taker _________. Then one afternoon there came a knock at the door. So I let her in, offered her a bottle of water, and waited for the __________. But first, she asked about my family. __________she told me about her own family and something else. I __________ a lot about Carla, as she was in no hurry to get to the __________. She was pleasant and relaxed. And so was I. After about an hour, she put away her _________ and thanked me for the water, __________as she got into her car. I realized I didn't __________her visit at all.

Carla would call every few months, asking if our __________had changed. We always talked about our families and lives __________we were friends.
