I was never very neat, while my roommate Kate was extremely organized. Each of her objects had its place, but mine always hid somewhere. She even labeled (贴标签) everything. I always looked for everything. Over time, Kate got neater and I got messier. She would push my dirty clothing over, and I would lay my books on her tidy desk. We both got tired of each other.

War broke out one evening. Kate came into the room. Soon, I heard her screaming, “Take your shoes away! Why under my bed!” Deafened, I saw my shoes flying at me. I jumped to my feet and started yelling. She yelled back louder.

The room was filled with anger. We could not have stayed together for a single minute but for a phone call. Kate answered it. From her end of the conversation, I could tell right away her grandma was seriously ill. When she hung up, she quickly crawled under her covers, sobbing. Obviously, that was something she should not go through phone. All of a sudden, a warm feeling of sympathy rose up in my heart.

Slowly, I collected the pencils, took back the books, made my bed, cleaned the socks and swept the floor, even on her side. I got so into my work that I even didn't notice Kate had sat up. She was watching, her tears dried and her expression one of disbelief. Then, she reached out her hands to grasp mine. I looked up into her eyes. She smiled at me, “Thanks.”

Kate and I stayed roommates for the rest of the year. We didn't always agree, but we learned the key to living together: giving in, cleaning up and holding on.

When I was at school, I have a nice classmate named Jenny , which was the first foreigner I had ever met. She was friendly and very pretty. She was good at three language ,although she was very young. It was interested that her father was a French while her mother came from England. All of them were teaching at a university at that time. She was crazy about collect stamps ,listening to pop music, as well as playing the football. Her dream was to be an engineer, so she usually studied hard achieve it. She often told fun stories with English to make us laugh. And it was clear that we all liked her short after that.

   Once again, Myra sat alone on the bus. Even after two weeks at her _______ school, Myra had not made any friends. A t the break time between classes, she played alone. In her _______ class, she drew alone. In the lunchroom, she ate _______.And on the bus ride home, she sat alone.

Myra could not _______why no one wanted to be her friend. Other kids joked and laughed with each other._______. none of them joked and laughed with her. Just thinking about it made her _______ hurt.

One day, _______Myra sat alone on the way to school, she looked at the seat _______her. She saw a girl sitting all by herself. The girl looked _______, too.

Myra wondered if she should say ________. But what if the girl didn't want to be her friend？Maybe she already had a lot of friends. What if the girl ________her？What if she laughed at her？Myra stared at the floor of the bus. Finally, she took a deep ________and smiled at the girl. The girl smiled ________.Myra said, "Hi, I'm Myra. Do you want to sit next to me？"

The girl's smile ________ "I'm Nadia. Yes, 'd like to sit next to you." At the next stop, Nadia ________ into the seat next to Myra. They joked and laughed the whole way to school. At ________Myra and Nadia played together. In the lunchroom, they ate together.

And on the ________ride home, they sat together.

When it was time for Myra to get off the bus, she ________ to her new friend, "Bye, Nadia！I'll see you tomorrow！"Nadia smiled, "Goodbye, Myra. I'll ________ a seat for you."

A big smile spread across Myra's face. She had made a friend. A friend who was going to save her a seat tomorrow. She could ________wait.

   Trekking (徒步旅行) 500 miles across Spain is no easy task for anyone, but for the wheelchair user Justin Skeesuck, achieving the dream seemed nearly impossible. However, Skeesuck’s lifelong best friend, Patrick Gray, simply didn’t accept that idea. He said, “We’ve done everything together so far. Why don’t we have one more adventure?”

That’s exactly what he did — pushing Skeesuck across northern Spain’s Camino de Santiago. Though Skeesuck has a muscle disease similar to ALS (肌萎缩侧索硬化) and high blood pressure, he first got the idea to go on the journey after he watched a travel show about the trail. He said, “I knew immediately since my heart was just telling me, ‘You need to do this.’”

With Gray on board and the blessings of their family, the two best friends from Idaho set off to make Skeesuck’s dream of going for the journey a reality. However, neither Gray nor Skeesuck realized how physically and emotionally arduous the trip would be. Not only did they have a strict time limit — about six weeks to get from start to finish, but they also faced extremely difficult obstacles (障碍). With Gray pushing Skeesuck in a three-wheel wheelchair, the pair crossed mountains, rivers and a desert. “I’ve never been that physically exhausted in my entire life,” Gray said. The pair came across countless kind people during their trip who were eager to help them finish their journey, but they refused their help with gentle words. 34 days later, the two best friends finished their journey, realizing a dream that helped them learn about themselves and others. “The adventure has taught me for sure that when you do something with faith, and never give up, amazing things can really happen,” Skeesuck said.

Gray recorded their incredible trip in a book — “I’ll Push You: A Journey of 500 Miles, Two Best Friends and One Wheelchair”, which would be published soon. Skeesuck and Gray are also working on a children’s book that will tell the story of their adventure. They hope that the book will give kids strength when they deal with difficulties.

I am writing tell you a piece of good news. Last week our school hold a Spoken English Competition. I stood out in the competition and won a first place. In my view, it is your kind help which has helped me gain the achievement. During your spare time, you often spent such much time helping me with my speaking English that I made rapid progress. In the competition, I followed your advices on how to behave, which led to my success. I'm grateful to you for your help and decide that you will make more efforts and try to make great progress in the future.
