A 35-year-old British milkman, Steve Leech, saved some people in a shop and the flats above it with milk and w【小题1】 the National Bravery Award.
When Leech was delivering milk as usual along Pine Street, he s【小题2】 heard a loud, strange sound behind him and then he saw smoke c【小题3】 from a shop. “The shop must be on fire, I thought,” he said. “And then I decided to do s【小题4】 at once. So I rushed into the shop and helped the people i【小题5】 out. Then I started pouring milk everywhere.” Leech used about 320 pints of milk to stop the fire.
When the firefighters reached the shop, the fire was under control. In the end, Leech saved eight people in the shop and the flats above the shop. He became a h【小题6】.
“It was hard to open all those bottles. But it was even h【小题7】 to tell my boss where all the milk had gone,” Leech said jokingly.
