When Brody Roybal was a baby, he didn’t have legs. But that didn’t make him feel sad or stop him from trying any sports.
He tried different kinds of sports. When he tried sled hockey (雪橇曲棍球)at the age of 7, he found his favorite hobby.
“That was it,” says Roybal. He is now 16 and a student in high school in Chicago. “It’s all I wanted to do.”
Roybal joined a sled hockey team. By the age of 12, Roybal was very good and he started playing in an adult (成人) team. This was a big challenge because it’s much harder.
Now Roybal is the youngest U.S. Paralympics (残奥会的)player. He’s a member of the sled hockey team in his country.
O'Connor, an old player, says Roybal is very good. “Everybody dreams of going to the Olympic Games and winning the game,” O'Connor says. “That’s something that I couldn't do, but Roybal can. He is lucky enough to go to the next Olympics.”
It’s true that when God closes a door, he opens a window for you.
