Shirley Temple(1928-2014),an American actress,was considered one of the most successful child stars in the history of film. She was famous for her beautiful golden curly hair,sweet smiles and her excellent talent in acting.

Temple was born on April 23,1928 in California. She had two brothers. Temple first appeared in a film at the age of three,and at six she starred(主演)in the film Stand Up and Cheer, she showed excellent talent in acting, singing and dancing in several films. Temple became famous in 1934. At the end of that year she was given a special Academy Award（奥斯卡特别金像奖）for her wonderful performances in the films. She was the first child who won the award in the world.

“Temple” was very famous from 1935 to 1938 in America. At that time,she was the biggest box-office attraction in Hollywood. Temple made a number of films as a lovely little girl,but with her growing up,people gradually paid no much attention to the films she acted in. And the films were not successful. And she also showed great interest in films,the career she loved. On February 10,2014,Temple died at her home in California at the age of 85.
