When Joao found a dying penguin on a beach in Brazil, he at once started to nurse him back to health. The penguin was named Dindim.

One day, in May 2011, Joao was going about his daily work when he saw something very strange, on close look, he noticed that it was a penguin who was all covered with oil. The penguin could hardly move.

After saving him, Joao spent a week cleaning the penguin's dirty feathers in the shower. And he fed him fish every day.
