Shenzhen Daily news: A team of volunteers in Shenzhen set out at night to search destroyed or not properly placed bikes. They called themselves as "shared bikes hunters", who are trying to "rescue" the shared bikes.
Wang Bing is a team leader of these volunteers. He is also the city's first "hunter". His highest record for one hunters and rescue was 300 bikes.
Wang and his team members are not paid for their work. A mobile phone, charge pal (充电宝), flashlight and card... These are the only things the volunteer hunt needs. And in the day, the hunters return to their usual jobs.
The team of 10 volunteers usually work in four groups. They move the bikes to the right places. They also report broken bikes to the company through the app, because the company needs the number.
They search, take photos, report problems and move bikes. Each of them walks more than 8,000 metres in about three hours. They finally finish rescuing nearly 200 bikes.
Many people don't understand why the hunters do this for no pay. "We want to warn people not to break the rules of sharing, moreover we want more people realize the importance of protecting the shared bikes" said Wang.
