    日前,全国各地精彩纷呈的科普日活动让人们享受了一顿顿“科普大餐”,虚拟现实等新技术让科普活动变得五彩斑斓、趣味十足。如果说科学知识是科普的“鱼”,那么科学精神、科学思维和科学的人文精神,就是科普的“渔”。我们常说,授人以鱼,不如授人以渔。近来的科普活动“鱼”多“渔”少,缺了些“精气神”。

    科学精神包括求实精神、创新精神等。求真是目标,创新是灵魂,这些宝贵的科学精神,不仅为科技创新提供良好的外围环境,同时也在约束科技团体的自身行为。而对普通人来讲,不管是做学问还是安身立命,这些精神都永不会过时。因为科学在追求知识和真理的同时,也赋予人崇高的理想,激励人们超越自我、追求更高的人生境界。

    科学思维在今天的科普内容中尤为重要,在一定程度上,甚至比普及科学前沿知识还要重要。现在,科学知识已经汗牛充栋,一般在网络上一搜就能找到,对普通民众来讲,除非个人极为感兴趣,否则并没有熟练掌握的必要。对大部分人来说,形成科学理性的反思能力,比掌握某种或某几种科学知识更为重要。比如,要让大众明白,科学是有局限性、阶段性的,包括医学在内的各种科学,都不是万能的。这样大众在面对一些诸如“量子矿泉水能治疗各种癌症”等骗局时,才能多一分清醒。

    科学的人文精神,和现在网上流行的“心灵鸡汤”大不一样,它以科学为基础和手段,以人文关怀为方向和目的,强调科学与人文相互协调和补充的思想,是唯物主义的人文观。在做科普时,也要让人们明白,科学与人文是人类文明飞升的双翼。科学技术是一把双刃剑,如何控制好这把利剑,有赖于人文精神的指导。

    总之,科学精神、科学思维和科学的人文精神,本身就是科学的一部分,是科学的“精气神”。在科普活动中,我们不能忽视对此的传播和普及,否则就会局限了科普的广度和深度。

    今天,我国大众科学素养依然和发达国家有较大差距,科学思维能力依然有待提高,有关科学理性和科学精神的教育依旧缺乏,这不能不说是一种遗憾。全国科普日活动已连续举办了十多年,在满足人们不断增长的科学需求方面发挥了重要作用。我们期待,随着这一活动的不断深化,科学的“精气神”能越来越足。
