Dear Sir/ Madam I'm a middle school student. In my school, more and more students keep dogs, cats or other animals as pets. I want to have a pet dog too, but my parents don't let me have one. They say dogs chase and bite people and they carry bacteria. The bacteria can make people ill, I really want a dog. What should I do? Can you give me some advice ? Yours John |
Dear John From your letter I know you want a pet dog. Dogs are people's best friends, but your parents' words are right too. I think if you want a dog and if you want to win friends for both your dog and yourself , you should do the following things: ★ Make sure your dog is vaccinated (接种疫苗) ★ Keep your dog on a leash(皮带) and clean up after it when it is out I believe if you can make sure you dog doesn't make a lot of trouble, your parents may let you have one. You can have a try. Yours Ben |
