      【甲】……故天将降大任于是人也,必先苦其心志,劳其筋骨,饿其体肤,空乏其身,行拂乱其所为,所以动心忍性,增益其所不能。

       人恒过然后能改。困于心衡于虑而后作,征于色发于声而后喻。入则无法家拂士,出则无敌国外患者,国恒亡。然后知生于忧患,而死于安乐也。

      【乙】苏秦者,东周洛阳人也。东事师于齐,而习之于鬼谷先生。出游数岁,大困而归。兄弟嫂妹妻妾窃皆笑之,曰:“周人之俗治产业力工商,今子释本而事口舌,困,不亦宜乎!”苏秦闻之而惭,自伤,乃闭室不出,出其书遍观之。得周书《阴符》,伏而读之。期年,以出揣摩,曰:“此可以说当世之君矣。”求说周显王。显王左右素习知苏秦,皆少之。弗信。

       乃西至秦,说惠王,弗用,乃东之赵,赵相奉阳君弗说之。去游燕,岁余而后得见……

    Changing the Guard

    For a display of British ceremony, watch Changing the Guard outside Buckingham Palace. This is where one member of Queen's Guards exchanges duty with the old guard. Both guards are dressed in traditional red uniform and bearskin hats, and the handover is accompanied by a Guards band. Guard Mounting takes place at 11:30 am. As the name suggests, Hogarth's House is where he lived before he died in 1764, and it's here that you'll find the most extensive collection of his paintings on public display.
