①读罢韩愈的《劝学解》，脑海中常常浮现当年场景：国子先生韩愈晨入太学，正欲对学生传道授业，言未毕而遭学生反问，“冬暖而儿号寒，年丰而妻啼饥……不知虑此，反教人为？”然而，正是在这命与仇谋的艰难境遇中，韩愈“业精于勤荒于嬉，行成于思毁于随”的信念，才更显珍贵。

②如冬梅，因寒风来袭而愈显其幽香；如煅剑，因用力敲打而益增其锋芒。在韩愈身上，勤奋是逆境的坚守，是日常的修炼，有着夸父逐日的执着，蕴含水滴石穿的坚忍。就此而言，稍有懈怠，略有迟缓，则不可谓之勤矣。曾国藩曾说，“百种弊病，皆从懒生。懒则弛缓，弛缓则治人不严，而趣功不敏。一处弛则百处懈矣”。

③贵有恒，何必三更眠五更起；最无益，只怕一日曝十日寒。青年***常常以此自警自励。心勤而身懒，则无非是思想的巨人、行动的矮子；口勤而手懒，则不过是眼高手低、口惠而实不至；昨勤而今懒，则必然是三天打鱼、两天晒网。懈怠的病菌一旦侵入，就会四处扩散，不断摧营拔寨，直到腐蚀整个肌体、攻陷精神城堡，矢志勤奋又怎能不慎独慎微？

④观历史兴亡之变，察古今成败之理，功败垂成也好，功亏一篑也罢，失败往往是走过了90步，却不能坚持走完剩下的10步。一部二十四史，这样的教训不胜枚举。南朝梁开国皇帝萧衍，年轻时底定江南、雄姿英发，在位日久而锐气渐消、惰气益长，晚年沉迷佛法，终至身死国灭，感叹：“自我得之，自我失之，亦复何恨！”以史为镜，懒惰之害，懈怠之危，于斯见矣！

⑤晚清洋务大臣曾国藩，既是书斋里的饱学之士，也是疆场上的建功之将，而最令后人称道的，还是他的修身功夫与勤奋精神。有这样一个故事，曾国藩坚持每天记日记，某天晚上梦到别人得到一笔额外好处，自己很羡慕，醒来之后对自己痛加指责；中午到朋友家吃饭，席间得知某人获得一项分外收入，心里又是羡慕。他在日记里写道，好利之心形诸梦寐，“真可谓下流”。

⑥有这种自省，才能不为懈怠所缚、不为成绩所惑；有这种自律，才能不为诱惑所动、不为声色所扰。没有人能随随便便成功，即便是天才，生下来的第一声啼哭，也不会就是一首好诗。没有“千磨万击还坚劲”的坚忍，没有“吾日三省吾身”的修炼，哪能轻易见到彩虹？

⑦韩非子阐述竞马的要诀，其一就是“不耻最后”。不怕梦想太遥远，就怕不能坚持到底；不怕目标太远大，就怕懒惰磨损了斗志。追逐梦想的人应该坚信，没有比人更高的山，没有比脚更长的路，只要坚持勤奋、驰而不息，纵然山重水复，也必会柳暗花明，在险峰之上收获无限风光。
