      近日，中央电视台新闻频道推出了新闻公益行动——“我的父亲母亲”，这档节目重点关注老年痴呆症患者和他们的家庭。
      10月10日是世界精神卫生日，卫生部发言人邓海华在新闻发布会上表示，有关专业机构已经启动申请为“老年痴呆症”更名工作。他介绍，我国审定公布的神经病学医学名词表中没有“老年痴呆症”这个名词，规范的表达为“阿尔茨海默病”。不过，要规范使用还需要一个过渡期，不断加强科学普及，提高公众认知度。
      我们经常能在街头、报纸、广播、网上看到寻找老人的寻人启事，也经常能在新闻中看到充满辛酸与温情的寻亲故事，而据专家介绍这些走失的老人不少是痴呆症患者。国际阿尔茨海默病协会的研究数据表明，60%的老年痴呆患者都有走失的危险。为了帮助痴呆老人找到回家的路，为患者家庭减少一份担忧，增添一份保障，新闻公益行动推出了更具现实针对性与服务帖近性的“黄手环”行动。“黄手环”是我们专门为痴呆老人设计的佩戴物件，它既是信息记录的载体，也是视觉识别的媒介。“黄手环”可嵌入患者家属自行填写的患者个人信息和联系方式的卡片或纸条，一旦老人走丢或发生危险，人们可以按照上面的信息联系到他们的家人；当人们看到佩戴“黄手环”的老人，也能够意识到需要给予他们特别的关照和呵护。
      其实，痴呆症的检测并不那么复杂，特别是初步筛查，简易量表如MMSE量表、AD8量表在临床大量使用。虽然痴呆症不可逆转、不可根治，但如果发现得早，及时通过药物治疗心理社会干预、照料者的支持与辅导，就可以延缓病情发展、减轻症状带来的不良后果，从而大大改善患者及照料者的生活质量。正基于此，新闻公益行动联合医疗机构通过走进社区，开展免费检测、发放护理手册、培训志愿者和护理者等方式，用我们的报道普及健康常识，让大家了解痴呆症的预防办法和早期症状。
