材料:明成祖于永乐二十二年(1424年)七月病死于榆木川。同年八月,仁宗朱高炽'即位。朱高炽'一反其父的所作所为,采取了与民休息的政策。仁宗—上台,施行“恤民之政”宣布停止北征、宫使采买、营建工程及西洋宝船等劳民伤财之举。仁宗以杨荣、金幼孜、杨士奇、黄淮等正三品官员兼任大学士。其后,仁宗又复设官品高达一品的公孤官虚衔,并授之以内阁大学士,使阁臣的权位远远高过部权。宣德时,阁臣已获得票拟权,开始直接参预处理国家政事,阁权已相当于相权。仁宗即位三月,即下诏礼部将“建文诸臣家属在教坊司、锦衣卫、浣衣局及习匠、功臣家为奴者,悉宥为民,还其田土”。这也成为仁宣两朝推行文官政治的一个辅助措施。仁宗时,还平息了与北部边疆鞑靼部、兀良哈部的战端,恢复了往来边市贸易。尽管仁宗在位时间甚短,但其所施行的政策却为宣宗一朝所继承,以致后代史学将这一时期称之为“仁宣之治”

    On a wild July night, the storm was getting worse and worse.
