    陈襄，少孤，出游乡校，与陈烈、周希孟、郑穆为友。时学者沉溺于雕琢之文，所谓知天尽性之说，皆指为迂阔而莫之讲。四人者始相与倡道于海滨，闻者皆笑以惊，守之不为变，卒从而化，谓之“四先生”。襄举进士，调浦城主簿，摄令事。县多世族，以请托肋持为常，令不能制。襄欲稍革其俗，每听讼，必使数吏环立于前。私谒者不得发，老奸束手。民有失物者，贼曹捕偷儿至，襄语之曰“某庙钟能辨盗，犯者扪之辄有声，余则否”。乃遣吏先引以行，自率同列诣钟所祭祷，阴涂以墨，而以帷蔽之。命群盗往扪，少焉呼出，独一人手无所污，扣之，乃为盗者。知河阳县，始教民种稻。富弼为郡守，一见即礼遇之，及入相，荐为秘阁校理、判祠部。知常州，运渠横遏震泽，积水不得北入江，为常、苏二州病。襄度渠之丈尺与民田步亩，定其数，授以浚法，水不复积。知谏院，改侍御史知杂事。论（王安石）青苗法不便，且言韩维不当为中丞。皆不听，襄以言不行，愿补外。安石欲以为陕西转运使，帝惜其去，留修起居注。逾年，安石又欲出之，帝不许。寻直学士院，安石益忌之，擿其书诏小失，出知陈州。卒，年六十四，赠给事中。襄莅官所至，必务兴学校，平居存心以讲求民间利病为急。既亡，友人视其箧，得手书累数十幅，盈纸细书，大抵皆民事也。在经筵时，神宗顾之甚厚，襄以司马光至于郑侠三十三人对，谓光等皆股肱心膂之臣，不当久外。谓侠愚直敢言，发于忠义，投窜瘴疠，朝不谋夕，愿使得生还。帝不能尽用。

    Walter Dean Myers，born on August 12，1937，was an American writer of children's books．He was known for young adult literature （文学） He wrote more than 100 books，including picture books and non﹣fiction．"I care about writing for young people because I remember how much I needed help and guidance at that time in my life，"Myers said in his book．

    Myers loved writing．He got up at five o'clock every morning．He worked at home in a small office that used to be his son's bedroom．

    Myers would first write an outline for every book．He called this prewriting．He imagined what the story would be and wrote down ideas in a notebook．To make sure there's enough action and dialogue for a good story，he thought of 30scenes．He wrote a short description of each scene in his notebook．

    He also cut out pictures of real people and put them on his office walls．He looked at those pictures and came up with ideas．Once he knew what the story would be and who the characters were，he began to write the book．He wrote five pages a day on his computer．

    Myers usually worked on three books at a time．When he was not prewriting or writing a book，he might be rewriting something he had already completed．Then he would send the story to his agent （经纪人）．He or she made suggestions for the story．After these final changes were made，the book was published and made its way to bookstores and libraries．By that time，Myers would begin to write his next book．"I want to do the best that I can with my writing．"said Myers．
