谈中国艺术学的当代建构

    中国民族艺术以独特的创造法则和审美取向在世界艺术之林独树一帜。艺术创造的多样性和精粹性,艺术认知的深刻性和审美思想闪耀的光辉,都可与世界上任何国家、民族媲美。但不能否认的是,以现代学术眼光来看,我们对自己的艺术缺乏严密逻辑论证和系统理论体系建构的系统性、体系性的研究和把握,从历史的纵向上来看尤其如此。当代中国艺术的研究,要改变传统的非学理性的感性体悟式研究方式,不能再停留在无需确定学科边界的“广谱研究”上。艺术学学科体系的建构无疑为我们改变这一艺术研究的状况提供了一种可能性。

    艺术学在中国作为独立学科虽然已经确立,但仍处在学科建设的初始探索发展阶段。首先要明确我们建立的是中国的艺术学,它已不完全等同于西方学者提出这一概念时的内涵。建构和发展艺术学“本土化”的学科体系,核心是“中国艺术”的。其内涵有两个主要内容:一是“民族性”,二是“当代性”。

    建构中国的艺术学,要在对中国艺术本体及其呈现形态内部规律的揭示中,表达独特的中华民族文化艺术特性,同时要注意概括社会发展进程中呈现的艺术的时代特征。在艺术的分析中,要尽可能运用传统艺术概念和语言方式,运用中国人喜闻乐见的艺术形态去阐释艺术现象及论证艺术观念。另一方面,今天艺术的多元化形态及构成,已远远扩展了多少年来我们固守的艺术认识论的价值标准。这些也都需要我们在艺术学体系建构中表达民族性的同时,又要以理论创新的眼光为中国艺术学体系赋予鲜明的当代性。这种当代性既内含着对外来优秀艺术理论成果的吸纳,也体现着对新的艺术实践进行理论概括的时代要求,同时,在我们的理论叙述中,也要真实地表达社会主义核心价值观对当代的艺术发展已经和正在产生的重要影响。

    建构中国艺术学知识体系,要关照它与哲学、美学等知识体系的内在联系,同时要以具有国际学术视野的坐标来审视中国艺术学体系的建构,比如不因改变多少年来持有偏见的“西方艺术中心论”而偏移为“东方艺术中心论”。有了正确的坐标,才会有“美美与共”的学术眼光。在这样的基础上,我们首先需要面对的是中国传统艺术理论资源的转化与发展。如果不能做到在这样一个深厚的“中国特色”的基础上对中国学术传统的继承与发扬,我们就很难建立起“中国的艺术学”。同时也必须认识到,今天努力建构具有中国特色的艺术学学科体系,开掘其蕴含的人文历史价值,弘扬中华民族优秀文化,既有着历史的必然性,也是中华民族文化复兴和在新的时代文化崛起的必然要求。 (摘自《艺术百家》2013年第3期,有删改)
