    I went shopping with my sister the other day. We saw several homeless people on the street. Among them were old people, young people and children. Some of them were even disabled （残疾的）. That made me sad. When I wanted to help them, my sister stopped me. She told me I shouldn't show kindness to them because some of them often cheated （欺骗） people out of their money. Should I help them?

    It's true that some homeless people have cheated people, but this doesn't mean you should never help them.

    Helping others is one of the kindest things we can do. Some homeless people may use dishonest ways to get money, but most of them do not. Even those dishonest people may have no choice but to cheat people.

    It's important to be careful of your own safety. But if you want to help homeless people, you don't have to give money to them on the street. You can donate（捐赠） money to China Charity Federation（中华慈善总会）.
