Green Building Committee (委员会) Meeting, Wing Lung School
Date and time: 4 p.m. March 5th, 2017
Present: Mr. To (Principle), Ms. Man, Mr. Cheung, Ms. Sin (committee members)
1）Opening
Mr. To opened the meeting and welcomed Ms. Sin as a new committee member.
2）The Green Building Project
In order to make Wing Lung School more environmentally friendly and to make students take notice of environmental problems, such as rising temperature of the Earth, it has been decided that work on The Green Building Project would begin in June.
①Solar panels (太阳能电池板)
Plans to install solar panels on the rooftop of the main building have been decided.
②Roof garden
Ms. Man pointed out that a roof garden could make the temperature in the main building become lower. However, it has been decided that the school could not afford to build a roof garden at present.
③Water tank (水箱)
Plans for the installation (安装) of a water tank on the rooftop to collect water for toilets were passed.
④Timers on light switches
It has been decided that timers would be installed on light switches in all classrooms so that lights would switch off automatically(自动地) at the end of the day.
3）A speech
It was agreed that a speech would be given to tell students information about the project at 4 p.m. on March 28th in the school hall.
4）There being no other business, the meeting was ended at 5 p.m.
