    When I was ten, I was crazy about candy. Whenever in our small-town 1 with my mom, I would run my fingers through my favourite candy on the shelf.

    Once I noticed a man pushing buttons on the ATM machine. He seemed to be hurriedly waiting for his cash to appear. He quickly got a pile of bills and headed out. Curiously I walked over and saw a beautiful $100 bill at the bottom of the machine.2I wanted to believe my magic made the cash appear. I knew the man must have left it behind.

    I held the money in my hand, looking at the number "100" and feeling 3 than I ever had. I thought about putting the money into my pocket. No one would know, but it didn't feel4.So I told my mom what had happened. "We will look for him." she said. We rushed out and found him stepping into his car! We went over and asked if he had left money at the cash machine.

    "Let me 5" he said, pulling out his wallet and bill. "One hundred, two hundred, three...Oh!You're right," he said with surprise. "I'm 6a $100 bill."

    "Here you go," I said, smiling with pride, as if I was a detective who solved a mystery. "Thank you so much," he said. Before saying goodbye, he asked me for my name and address.

    On my way home, my7 was racing. 100 dollars. What could I have done with it? I bet I could have bought a puppy or every single candy bar or something else in town! But now 8 of that would happen. Yet I knew I had done the right thing.

    A few weeks later, I got a box with a note. I opened it to find packages of candy.

    "Dear Felice，thank you very much for returning my $100. Your are a great girl, and I appreciate(欣赏)your 9action. I hope you enjoy this candy. Best wishes, Tom." The candy tasted sweet. Although my act wouldn't always be 10 with candy, it would make a difference to someone. And that was the sweetest part of all.

    James sat outside the office waiting for the interview.He felt so1that he didn't know what to do with himself. The person who had gone in2him had been in there for nearly an hour.And she looked so3when she went in. Not like James,he felt he was4.But the5 was that he wanted this job so much.It6 everything to him.He had thought about it such a lot before the day of the7He had8himself performing brilliantly at the interview and being offered the job9.

    But now here he was feeling10.He couldn't11all those things he had planed to say.At that moment,he almost12to get up and leave.But no13he had to do this.He had spent so much time considering it that he couldn't14like that.His hands were hot and sticky and his mouth felt15.At last the door of the office16.The woman who had gone in an hour earlier came out looking very pleased with herself.It seemed17she had got the job.She smiled sympathetically（同情地）at James.At the moment,James18her.The managing director then appeared at the office door."Would you like to19now,Mr.Davis?I'm sorry to have kept you 20.”James suddenly wished that he had gone home after all.He got up,legs shaking and forehead sweating and wondered whether he looked as he felt.

唐僧，为啥不飞过去

       ①小时候看《西游记》，心里总有个问题：唐僧取经那么难，其实有好办法呀，孙悟空会驾云，只要背起他，十万八千里，一飞不就到了吗？近日偶读《孟子》，看到有句话：源泉混混，不舍昼夜，盈科而后进，放乎四海。

       ②“科”是俗语的“窠”，就是坑、洼。孟子的意思是，流水遇到坑、洼，要充满之后才继续向前流；不把坑、洼填满，就不向前流。联想起《西游记》中唐僧师徒的经历，忽然若有所悟：唐僧师徒不飞，原来如此啊！

       ③我豁然明白，唐僧师徒的取经路，像流水一样，遇到的每一个坑洼都填满了，再向前走一步。这是极其注重细节的人生。这每一个坑坑洼洼，都有上天的美意；这些坑坑洼洼，是熬人的苦杯，其实，也正是盛满祝福和营养的福杯啊！如果用巧法省下走哪个坑洼，坑洼里含着的福分和养分，就得不到了。师徒四人一个一个地战胜八十一难，一步一步地走过十万八千里，他们的心如钢铁，在反复灼烧、锤打，抵达西天时，已经不是取经最初的凡铁了，他们脱俗成圣了。

       ④盈科而后进，是一种厚实、沉着的坚守和忍耐；成就的，是不寻常的质地和品格。据说，如今的白酒调酒师，能用酒精、香精、味素，快速调出美味的酒。但是真正的好酒，必须在地下默默无闻地埋藏、发酵多年。

       ⑤韩国围棋大师曹薰铉写了一篇围棋讲座稿，开头有段话，提醒学棋的人：“我以为，与其一心想着要赢棋，倒不如专心下好每一盘棋的每一步，以留内容充实的棋谱。人生的每一瞬间都有正道，围棋的每一手也都有其正确的方向。每一步都尽善尽美的人生是美丽的，围棋也是如此。”曹薰铉“专心下好一盘棋中的每一步”，不正是唐僧师徒扎实无比的取经之路吗？

       ⑥童年读《西游记》，读到的是巧；人近中年，读出的是拙。我为童年的小聪明而惭愧，也明白了，真正称得上美好的事业、真正品质恒久的果子，都来自流水一样的“盈科而后进”的精神啊。
