 When we think of Christmas, we probably think of 1  , Christmas trees and Santa Claus. But behind all these things lies the true meaning of Christmas: the importance of sharing and giving love and joy to people around us. The story in A Christmas Carol is perhaps the best example of this.

 A Christmas Carol is a famous short novel written by British writer Charles Dickens (1812-1870). It is about an old man 2 Scrooge who never laughs or smiles. 一碗水的愤怒

    在我生命里曾经流淌过一碗水,是这碗水让我懂得了什么是真正的愤怒。

    暑假时,久居都市的我与朋友结伴西北行。七月如火,车子在高高的黄河大堤上爬行。黄河河底龟裂,河水时断时续,给人一种苟延残喘的感觉,全没有“黄河在咆哮”的气势。在黄河拐弯处好不容易才见到了一个村子,村子因树而得名,叫“五棵树村”。在村头有个苗圃,绿绿的一片,让长途跋涉的我们略感一丝凉意。一个小姑娘拿着一个特制的大瓢,在每一棵小树苗根上小心地地滴上一点点水,那动作好像是在轻轻抚摸睡梦中的婴儿。“小姑娘,能不能给点水?”我不停地用毛巾擦着好像永远也擦不干的汗,渴望能洗一把被汗水渍疼的脸。

   小姑娘迟疑了一下,转身走向苗圃后面的屋子,屋子里的椅子上坐着一位老妇人,脸上带着世事洞明的安详。小姑娘轻轻对她说了些什么,老妇人点点头从腰间“哗啦”一声摸出一串钥匙一这时我才看见在屋子和苗圃之间有一眼水窖,水窖设有坚固的木盖儿,木盖儿上牢牢地锁着一把大铁锁。

    只见小姑娘轻盈地走到水窖前,熟练地打开大铁锁,用一个小木桶小。小心地汲出一点水,倒进一个干净的陶瓷碗里。她双手捧着那碗,像捧着整个世界一样走到我面前说:“走远路渴了吧,快喝吧!”我看了一眼,那水里竞漂浮着一些细小的杂物,在白瓷碗里显得更浑浊。

    本来我是想洗把脸凉爽一下。喝的水我们自带了许多瓶纯净水。等小姑娘转过身去继续 “滴”她的水后,我让同伴把那碗水倒出来,开始洗脸。

    听到水落地的声音。老妇人和小姑娘不约而同地投来愤怒的目光。老妇人从椅子上站了起来,喊了声:“作孽呀!”突然摔倒了。小姑娘却不去扶老妇人,只是惊叫着冲到我身边,一把抢过我同伴手中的水碗,然后竞倒在地上,伸开双手用力挖起我脚下那一点被水浸湿的土,捏成一个泥团,迅速跑到苗圃旁新栽的小树边,深挖了一个坑,把湿泥团贴着树根埋下,这才急切地叫着“奶奶”向老妇人跑去,慢慢把她搀扶到椅子上。

    我被眼前这一切惊呆了,一时不知道自己该做些什么。良久,我们才从小姑娘口中知道,这村周围黄河大堤旁的小树苗都是那位老人家培育出来的,这水窖也是老人家挖的。前年大旱, 水窖里也难以存住水了,为了让刚栽上的小树苗能够成活,老妇人翻山越岭到二十余里外的地方去挑水,不料半路上一脚踏空,瘸了一条腿。

    老妇人叹了口气,意味深长地说:“不是我小气,这样热的天,我的苗圃一天才用一瓢水,你们不知道缺水的苦,这样糟蹋水,我心疼呀!”
