       传统技艺是在漫长的生产实践中形成的生产技术,它富含民众的审美观念和思想情感,代表着技艺的精华,是当前非物质文化遗产生产性保护的核心。

       “生产性保护”是在非物质文化遗产保护实践中提出的一种保护方式,使非物质文化遗产融入现代社会生活实践,目的在于使其融入民众的日常生活并在生活中持久传承。具体而言,是指在具有生产性质的实践过程,以保持非物质文化遗产的真实性、整体性和传承性为核心,以有效传承非物质文化遗产技艺为前提,借助生产、流通、销售等手段,将非物质文化遗产及其资源转化为文化产品的保护方式。

作为非物质文化遗产的传统技艺,是民众在长期的生产生活实践中发明、积累和传承下来的,具有丰富的历史、科技、人文内涵。它一般以天然原材料为主,采用传统的手工艺,有完整的工艺流程,有鲜明的地域特色和传统审美意趣。

         在农耕社会,手工艺始于对自然物质的利用和各种工具的制造和使用。农业耕作所需要的犁、耙、锄,饮食起居所需要的陶罐、簸箕、箩筐,交通运输所需要的担、船、轿,以及织锦、染布、造纸等日常生活所需要的各种物品,都留下了手工艺的印记。而且,随着生产力水平的提高和社会的发展,手工艺门类越来越齐全。至明清时期,一方面继承了宋代“巧夺天工”的价值取向,另一方面受西方科技知识的影响,不仅手工门类齐全,技艺精湛,而且各种物品造型精致,装饰繁缛,极具艺术效果,体现了中国人的智慧和审美理想。由此可知,传统技艺是顺应生活的各个环节由低到高,由简到繁,由最初满足人们简单的生活需要到后来满足人们的审美追求,在与自然、社会的互动过程不断调整、完善、创新和发展的。

         作为人类的发明创造,所有传统技艺不只是人们简单的生活所需,更蕴含了人类的聪明才智和情感追求。木雕、石雕、玉雕、泥塑、面塑给人以美的愉悦,剪纸、刻纸、皮影、年画有丰富的

        文化内涵和艺术价值,造纸术和印刷术对文明的传承和传播起了极大的作用……手工艺和手工艺品能给人以美的感受,是人在与自然的互动中产生,是人类情感的表达、与艺术、信仰紧密相连,具有民族和地域特色,是人类历史文化延续的见证。它所具有的民生价值、艺术价值、历史文化价值均是其传承价值所在。

        在文化发展的进程中,具有较高价值的多种非物质文化遗产的消失对人类来说就意味着文化多样性的减少,会给人类带来重大损失。因此,融入百姓生活,适应社会变迁需要,尽可能多地保护传统技艺存在的土壤,才能使非物质文化遗产具有更持久的生命力。

    When a U.S. company decides to sell its product in another country, it has to make sure that the product name translates properly. When Coca-Cola introduced its soft drink to China it looked for the right name. It wanted a name that would do two things. One was to present its image in Chinese and the second was to be close to its first brand name-Coke. It took some efforts before finding the right word-which sounds similar and translates as "happiness in the mouth".  Asian company names are not new to the United States. The brand names of Samsung and Sony have been successful. Finding the right brand name is a big business. Asian companies that sell to foreign markets pay to find a name that will connect with its customers. There are even naming companies that offer help in inventing product names. These companies can charge(要价)up to $ 100,000 a word for their good names. But it's worth it. Successful companies know how important the right brand names are for their development.
