Mr Brown got up late this morning. He was going to be late for work. It was raining hard and the streets were wet. He drove so fast that he didn’t see the red lights. He couldn’t stop his car and hit a car. An old man got out of the car and called out angrily, “What are you doing? How can you drive so fast?”

“I’m sorry, sir,” said Mr Brown, “I didn’t see the lights turn red.” Then he brought out a bottle of wine and gave it to the old man.

“It’s cold today, sir,” said Mr Brown, “Please drink a little, and then you’ll get warm.”

The old man drank some wine and became happy. He said, “I’m feeling much better now. Why don’t you drink any?”

“I can’t drink anything now, sir,” answered Mr Brown, “I’m waiting for the policeman. Only drunkards (酒鬼；醉鬼) cause accidents, you know!”

My grandpa's birthday is June 23th.My grandpa is in America, my grandpa lives with my uncle Bill and aunt Mary in America, so I usually make an e-card to him for his birthday. There are 2 birthdays in October, my father and my cousin Alice. Alice likes dolls, so I often send her some beautiful dolls . It is a fine day. Joe and I are at the zoo. We can see many animals here. There are tigers, bears, lions, elephants, monkeys, and pandas. Look! The monkeys can ride bikes. They are cute and lovely. That elephant is fat and strong. What about pandas? They can climb trees! I like bears very much because they are strong and clever. What animals do you like?

Jenny gets up early in the morning. She has her breakfast at home and then goes to school. She walks to the bus stop and takes a bus. She gets to school at about half past seven.

Jenny is never late for school. She likes school and works hard. Classes begin at 8:00. She has six classes every day. Jenny is good at all her lessons, and she likes English best.

Jenny usually has lunch at school. Jenny goes home at five in the afternoon. Sometimes, she helps her friends with their lessons. After supper she usually watches TV news. Then she does her homework. She goes to bed at about 9:30. Jenny is a good girl.
