For those of you who haven't heard of it, the Apple Watch is designed by Apple Inc. Its sales began in April, 2015. As the name suggests, it is designed to tell us the time.
However, an Apple Watch is never just a watch. In fact, this watch is multifunctional. It not only shows us the time, but also acts as a fitness monitor（监测仪）and a messaging tool that can be connected with an iPhone.
Do you think it's a great invention? Don't you think the technology has gone too far?
Though the Apple Watch is cool in appearance, is it a good thing to be able to receive messages through a watch, or is this another way of letting technology destroy our social life?
Just imagine:A group of friends sitting at a table in a restaurant will ignore each other as everyone will be too busy reading a new message on their watches. Students will carefully check their messages in school, despite the fact that mobile phones aren't allowed in class...Although smartwatches may make communication through technology easier, it seems that it could actually influence face-to-face communication.
I do have to agree, however, the watch has some interesting and helpful functions. For example, it can be used to create and record sporting activities. This could be of special interest to sports fans. While there are clearly both good and bad things when it comes to this invention,I personally like my single-purpose watch that simply tells me the time! What about you? Last year, I went to Australia for a short-term study like an international student. One of my classmates suggested we shared our favorite foods from our own countries during New Year’s party.    Marvin, a friend of mine, was the kind of guy who was always happy and had something positive to say. Being a natural motivator, Marvin was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation whenever he or she was having a bad day.

Several months ago in his restaurant, Marvin was held at gunpoint by four armed robbers. They panicked and shot him. Luckily, Marvin was found relatively quickly and rushed to the local hospital. After 18 hours of the operation and weeks of medical care, Marvin recovered with pieces of the bullets（子弹）still in his body.
