太行愚公 科技财神
——追忆河北农大教授、博士生导师李保国
一位大学教授的去世，引来29万人的烛光，9000万人的关注。河北省平山县、内丘县等地数万山村百姓自设灵堂，把他的骨灰安放在太行山的最高处。
2016年4月10日凌晨，李保国因心脏病突发，不幸去世，年仅58岁。
1981年2月26日，李保国从河北林业专科学校（后并入河北农业大学）毕业，留校任教。同年3月6日，他响应学校号召走进太行山，来到河北省邢台县前南峪村，投身到小流域立体开发项目中。这里的山地土层薄，不涵水，年年种树不见树，人均收入不足50元。
“我是农民的儿子，见不得老百姓穷。”李保国立志要为当地农民脱贫致富寻找破解之道。起早贪黑，跑遍山上的沟沟坎坎后，李保国和课题组摸透了山地的脾性，提出用爆破整地的方法聚土截流，让植被成为有“本”之木。
凭借李保国研发的太行山低山片麻岩区“聚续”生态农业工程技术，前南峪土厚了、水多了，树木栽植成活率从原来的10%一跃达到90%．如今的前南峪，8000亩荒山秃岭变成“太行山最绿的地方”，森林覆盖率90.7%，植被覆盖率94.6%，获得联合国“全球生态五百佳”提名，人均收入达10600元。
继前南峪之后，内丘岗底村、平山葫芦峪、临城凤凰岭……35年来，李保国直接帮扶村庄40多个，技术示范推广总面积上千万亩，使山区增收35.3亿元。
1999年，河北绿岭果业公司董事长高胜福承包了河北临城县凤凰岭3500亩干旱丘陵岗地，栽植核桃树苗后出现大面积死亡的情况。李保国受邀赶来，通过采样发现，表层是乱石滩，乱石滩不存水，下面是礓石层，礓石强碱性，凤凰岭根本种不活树。
李保国制订了“挖走鹅卵石、打破礓石层、开沟建立保水层”的治理规划，并引进19个核桃优良品种和11个山核桃品种，进行了一次又一次的嫁接组培实验。经过5年不懈努力，成功选育出新核桃品种——绿岭核桃，所推行的“绿岭薄皮核桃矮化密植栽培技术”被认定为国内首创。
在科技研究的选题上，李保国曾说：“脱贫为科研出题，科研为脱贫解难。老百姓需要什么，我就研究什么。”
就这样，李保国这位“科技财神”在太行山脉开辟了一个又一个战场，先后取得研究成果28项。其中薄皮核桃栽培技术仅在邢台市就推广60万亩，年产值超过20亿元，走出了一条经济效益生态效益同步提升的扶贫之路。
“农民教授”：“把我变成了农民，把越来越多的农民变成了‘我’”
李保国细心揣摩农民的心理和语言，用他们听得进、听得懂的语言，使其快速接受和掌握新技术。
赞皇县寺峪村的上千亩苹果园，产量一直上不去。请了一位专家讲了一天，名词、术语一大堆，村民听得晕头转向直抓头皮。村民们慕名请来李保国，他只教了两样：一种是“结果枝”，一种是“不结果枝”，半个小时讲完，乡亲们说：“原来这么简单。”35年来，李保国推广了太行山板栗集约栽培、优质无公害苹果栽培、绿色核桃栽培等36项标准化林业技术，举办了培训班800余次，培训人员9万余人次。
内丘县岗底村村民韩振江就是李保国农民学生中的一位。韩振江说：“李老师每次来村里指导技术，都是在果园里手把手地教，教一次不会就两次，两次不行就三次，从来没有不耐烦过。”现在韩振江一家人种植了700多棵苹果树，2015年纯收入20余万元。
去年冬天，李保国主持召开了首届岗底果农专家论坛，11位农民登台演讲。结束后，他高兴地对村党总支书记杨双牛说：“这辈子最过瘾的是干了两件事：一是把我变成了农民，二是把越来越多的农民变成了‘我’。”

I had been following the yellowish-green markers for a “popular and easy” three-mile out-and-back hike. Immediately after the trailhead(山道的起点), the trail became very rocky and steep. In a shaky voice, I said, “Mom?” And then the call dropped. More than 1,500 miles away, my mom instantly knew something was wrong. She called the Denver Police Department and was directed to the US Forest Service.
This was how I was introduced to John, an operator from the US Forest Service. Following John's instruction on the phone, I finally escaped from the woods. I breathed a sigh of relief. Then my phone rang, and it was John, making sure I was still going in the right direction. “By the way,” he said, “we've had your mother on hold this whole time. We know once you get down the mountain, you will absolutely want to give her a call.”

A new study suggests that washing dishes by hand is healthier than using a dishwasher.
Nobody likes doing the dishes, but it turns out that doing this task might pay off in an unexpected way. According to a new study published in the Journal of Pediatrics, washing dishes by hand instead of using a dishwasher might prevent the development of allergies (过敏).
Researchers in Sweden surveyed the parents of 1,029 children aged 7 and 8. They discovered that children whose families hand-washed the dishes instead of using a machine were less likely to have allergies.
Earlier research has shown that dishes washed by machine are cleaner than those washed by hand. So why would kids who eat with slightly dirtier plates be better when it comes to preventing allergies? One explanation is based on a theory known as the “hygiene hypothesis,” which says the reason why kids develop allergies is that their environment is actually too clean. Your immune system keeps you healthy by fighting germs like viruses and bacteria. But when you have allergies, it overreacts and tries to fight ordinary things like pollen(花粉) or certain foods.
Being exposed to germs, especially early in life is good training for the immune system, says the lead author of the study, Dr. Bill Hesselmar of Queen Silvia Hospital in Sweden. “You stimulate the immune system in various ways and it becomes tolerant.”
This study shows that while using the dishwasher might be easier, the old-fashioned method of cleaning up could be better for your health.

王及善，洺州邯郸人。父君愕，有沉谋。高祖入关，与君廓偕来，拜君愕大将军，封新兴县公，累迁左武卫将军。从太宗征辽，领左屯营兵，与高丽战驻跸山，死于阵。赠左卫大将军、幽州都督、刑国公，陪葬昭陵。
及善以父死事，授朝散大夫，袭邢国公爵。皇太子弘立，擢及善左奉裕率。太子宴于宫，命宫臣掷倒，及善辞曰：“殿下自有优人，臣苟奉命，非羽翼之美。”太子谢之。高宗闻，赐绢百匹。除右千牛卫将军，帝曰：“以尔忠谨，故擢三品要职。群臣非搜辟，不得至朕所。尔佩大横刀在朕侧，亦知此官贵乎？”病免。召为卫尉卿。垂拱中，历司属卿。山东饥，诏为巡抚赈给使。拜春官尚书。出为秦州都督、益州长史，加光禄大夫，以老病致仕。
神功元年，契丹扰山东，擢魏州刺史，武后劳曰：“逆虏盗边，公虽病，可与妻子行，日三十里，为朕卧治，为屏蔽也。”因延问朝政得失，及善陈治乱所宜，后悦曰：“御寇末也，辅政本也，公不可行。”留拜内史。来俊臣系狱当死，后欲释不诛，及善曰：“俊臣凶狡不道，引亡命，污戮善良，天下疾之。不剿绝元恶，且摇乱胎祸，忧未既也。”后纳之。庐陵王之还，密赞其谋。既为皇太子，又请出外朝，以安群臣。
及善不甚文，而清正自将，临事不可夺，有大臣节。时二张怙宠，每侍宴，无人臣礼，及善数裁抑之，后不悦曰：“卿年高，不宜侍游燕，但检校閤中。”及善即移病馀月，后不复问。叹曰：“中书令可一日不见天子乎？”遂乞骸骨，犹不许，改文昌左相、同凤阁鸾台三品。卒，年八十二，赠益州大都督，谥曰贞，陪葬乾陵。
