On Christmas Eve- the night before Christmas Day, children are very happy. They put their stockings at the end of their beds before they go to bed. They want Father Christmas to give them some presents. Mr. Green tells his children that Father Christmas is a very kind man. He comes on Christmas Eve. He lands on top of each house and comes down the chimney into the fireplace and brings them a lot of presents. Christmas Day always begins before breakfast. The children wake up very early. They can't wait to open the presents in their stockings. Then they wake up their parents and say: Merry Christmas! Do you know what Christmas means? Christmas Day is the birthday of Jesus Christ.

   Hi, my name is Elaine and I'm a teacher in Grade Six. I'm going to talk about some activities of the Open Day of our school. The Open Day will be on the first day of the school.

The students don't know each other _____they are new here. ______, I will ask them to talk about their names, their hobbies and so on. Students will _____ to that.

I am very happy every day. Life is great in Shanghai. I usually get up at 6 o'clock. I have breakfast with my parents at half past six. The school starts at 8:30. There are four lessons in the morning and three in the afternoon. I have lunch at school at twelve. After classes, I often play games or learn to sing English songs with my friends. At five o'clock, I go home on foot. I have a delicious supper with my parents at about six o'clock. I always do my homework in the evening. I often read some good books and listen to the music in the evening, too. I like Justin Bieber very much. His songs are really great. Sometimes I watch TV for a little at weekends. I go to bed at about nine thirty. My family usually go for a picnic in the park at weekends.

Abingdon School Open Day

The Open Day this year will be on Saturday, 3 December. The Open Day is for all the family, with activities and displays（展示）about the school. All the teachers, students and parents will attend（参加）. The day starts at 9: 30 a. m. and finishes at 2: 30 p. m. The lessons start from 8 o'clock. The school gate will be open at 10 o'clock. You are welcome to arrive at any time during the lessons in the morning and afternoon.

If you can't come to the Open Day, that's all right. There are many other chances（机会）to visit Abingdon School. You can make an appointment with the class teachers to visit some other day.

Parking（停车）at the school on the Open Day may be limited（有限的），so you can also park your cars in the car park nearby. It's just a three-minute walk away. The map of Abingdon School can be found on the school website一www. abingdon. edu.
