Jason looks at his watch. It is time for his favorite TV show. He turns on the TV. He sits down in his chair. But then he hears his dog. His dog is scratching (抓) at the door. The dog wants to go out. The dog has to go to the bathroom. If he lives in a house, he can let the dog get out into the yard (院子). But he lives in an apartment. He doesn't have a yard. He must take the dog for a walk. But if he takes the dog for a walk, he can’t watch his favorite TV show. The dog scratches at the door again. Jason turns off the TV.

It is a fine day for walking. Jason and his dog take a walk on the street. Some children are playing in the park. Some old men are talking. Jason thinks it is a good idea to play outside.

   J.K. Rowling is the pen name. The J is for Joanne, her real first name, but she likes Jo. The K is the middle name.

Jo did a few different things before she began writing children’s books. She was an English teacher in Portugal(葡萄牙). She got the idea for the Harry Potter on a train to London. She said, “The idea just came into my head”.

Now Rowling is one of the richest women in the world. In fact, she is the first writer to become so rich from writing. Her story itself is very interesting.

Today she gives much of her time and money to people in need. The future? In March 2008, she said: “I will write for children because that’s what I enjoy”.

   Maria buys food for herself and her son. He is in high school, and will go to college(上大学) in two years. Then she will shop only for herself. She will feel ________ by herself. She hopes that he will go to the college near their home. That way he can live at home for ________ two years. She loves him, and is afraid that he will ________ home.
