Sandwich was an Englishman. He lived in the 18th century. Sandwich was rich, and he liked to play cards. He often played for 24 hours, and didn't even stop to have meals. He asked his servants (侍从) to bring him some meat and bread.  He put the meat between two pieces of bread and held the food in his left hand while he played cards with his right hand. People like Sandwich's idea, and from then on they ate bread and meat as Sandwich of the man Sandwich, we have the word "Sandwich" today.

   Our eating habits are very _____ for good health. Many people like ______sweets and ice-cream more than meat and ice. Sweets and ice-cream are not bad_____ the stomach if we eat them at the end of a meal. _____if we eat them before a meal, they may take away our appetite（食欲）.    Lily has been in Hong Kong for about two weeks. She found that people in Hong Kong have different eating times and habits from hers.

In London, people usually have some bread for breakfast but people in Hong Kong have congee. People in London often have hamburgers for lunch at one o'clock. People in Hong Kong have hamburgers too, but less often. They usually have different kinds of dishes or dumplings instead. Lily really loves Chinese food. There are so many kinds and they are all very delicious.

In the evening, people in London usually have dinner at about seven o'clock. Not in Hong Kong! In Hong Kong people have dinner at about ten! In London, Lily is usually in bed by eleven. But in Hong Kong, the streets are full every night. A lot of people go to bed until midnight because they like to have some drinks with their friends after dinner. Hong Kong is really an everbright city（不夜城）.
