My name is Betty. I am thirteen years old. I have a big family: my grandparents, my father, my mother and I. My grandparents are old but healthy. They like to eat vegetables. My mother is beautiful and she likes juice. My father is strong. He likes pork and bread. We all don't eat too many sweets because they’re not good for our teeth.

John and Simon go to the same school.Their home is far from(距………远)school.

They get up early every morning and take the early bus after breakfast. Sometimes they have lunch in a restaurant(餐馆). John likes hamburgers(汉堡包) and chips((炸土豆片) ,but Simon likes vegetables and fruit(水果).After lunch John goes to play volleyball and Simon goes to the classroom. He sings or listens to music. Sometimes he plays games with his classmates. After school they go home together. They like spending their weekends together, too.

Some monkeys are playing in a tree near a lake. They are having a good time. Suddenly a little monkey cries, “Look, the moon has dropped into the water!” “Get it out, hurry!” says an old monkey. The little monkey hangs from the tree by his tail. Then each monkey hangs from the other by his legs. At last they get to the water, but they still cannot scoop up(舀上来) the moon. Another little monkey finds half a gourd(葫芦)to scoop up the moon. He gets the moon in the gourd. At that time all the monkeys come for the moon. But the gourd drops and the moon is broken. The monkeys are very sad. But when they look up, they find the moon is still high up in the sky, shining bright.
