Many people can use the computer very well, and they know what a computer is and what it can do. The computer is fast and never makes mistakes, while people are slow and often make mistakes. That's what people often say when they talk about computers. For many, many years scientists have improved computers. Now a computer can do a lot of everyday work quite well and people can use a computer in many ways. Many computer scientists are now thinking of making the computer"think"like a man. With the help of a person, a computer can draw pictures write music, talk with people, and so on. Maybe computer will one day think and feel.

A train stops at a station(车站). A young man wants to come out, but it is raining. A boy is standing under a big umbrella. The young man says to the boy, "Can you go and buy us two hamburgers, one for you and one for me? Here are two dollars(美元). " "Great!" says the boy and he goes to buy hamburgers. After some time, the boy is back. He is eating a hamburger. "Where is my hamburger?" asks the young man. "Oh, there is only one(只有一个) hamburger left(剩下). So I'm eating mine. Here is your dollar," the boy says.

Jack is ten. He’s in Class 2, Grade 4. He works hard. He always does his homework after supper. He’s quite good at Maths and English. All his teachers like him. He wants to be a driver in the future.

My mother and I take a bus to go shopping on Saturday morning. Father likes fruit very much, so we buy red apples for him. Mother likes yellow bananas, but these are green.

“Look! The oranges are very nice, Mum. Do you like them?” I say to Mum.

“Yes, I like oranges very much,” says Mother. So she buys some for herself.

The melons are very nice, too. Mother buys some for me because I like melons very much.

We need some vegetables, so we buy some tomatoes, carrots and potatoes. My favourite food is hamburgers. I like drinking Coke and eating ice cream, too. After shopping, Mother and I have some French fries, milk and juice. and then we go back home with the fruits and vegetables.
