Yuan 【小题2】(conduct) research on rice since he was at college. There was a time 【小题3】 the food supply was very limited. In 1964, he discovered a natural hybrid rice plant. Since then, he has concentrated on 【小题4】 (vary) developing high-yield, hybrid rice, which now accounts 【小题5】 about two thirds of China’s rice crop, according to China News. So, it’s no wonder 【小题6】 he’s known as 【小题7】 “Father of Hybrid Rice”. 【小题8】(age) 88, Yuan is still devoted to his research and his 【小题9】(achieve) have benefited and will continue to benefit the whole world.
