"Which college are you going to？"Many high school students are often asked this question. For some，the answer is Harvard，Stanford，Princeton or another famous university. For others，it might be State U，a small liberal arts college or even a community college. Whether high school students' answer is a private top college or a large public university，it should be their best-fit choice.

Admission rates（录取率）of some of the country's top universities have been dropping for years up to now，with many admitting less than 10 percent of applicants. This makes these colleges all the more desirable to some applicants because they think being admitted to one of these highly selective colleges makes sure of success.

The truth is that the name brand doesn't make a college a good choice for you. Just ask one of the students who were admitted to all eight Ivy League colleges this year. He turned them all down to attend the University of Alabama，which best met his financial and academic needs.

Just like anything else in life，when something is a good fit，it works. Students that attend colleges that match their academic，social and financial needs，while still providing an academically challenging environment，are more likely to graduate on time. On the other hand，students who attend colleges that are not a good fit are more likely.to struggle，feel anxiety and stress，and fail to get out in four years. In fact，some of the colleges with the highest graduation rates aren't in the Ivy League.

It's a good fit that leads to good results — not the name of a school. Just look at some of the colleges with the highest starting salaries. Colleges like Montana Tech and Oregon Health & Science University are among the top 10 colleges with the highest early-career salaries-with Stanford and the Ivy Leagues only making the top 25.

No single college is going to be a great fit for every student，and this especially applies（适用）to the Ivy Leagues and other well-known colleges. That a college just has a famous name doesn't mean it's going to make sure of success in college or your career.

Right since my childhood，I have always been encouraged by my parents. They have stressed the 【小题1】（important）of being a good human. Both my parents were doctors，【小题2】 I was sure they would have expected me 【小题3】（become）a doctor. But my parents gave me the freedom to choose football 【小题4】 my career.

They often told me that 【小题5】 was not the career but your attitude（态度）to it that influenced you. In fact，I knew a lot of my friends，【小题6】  were not allowed to do what they liked，but I was a 【小题7】（luck）child. Today，when I am a father of two lovely kids，I always fall back on my parents' teaching when it comes to 【小题8】（teach）them. I know what difference my parents 【小题9】（make）to my life in the past，so I now try and do the same to my kids. Of course，it is a different generation，but yes，I am a better father because of my own father. I also 【小题10】（deep）admire（饮佩）my mom because of the way she balanced her career，home and kids.

   It has always been my dream to attend college. My parents were glad I chose this path. 【小题1】 Upset and stressed，I decided to look for ways to pay by myself.

My search for money began on the Internet. I went to every free scholarship search engine and spent a lot of time each day online looking for scholarships I was qualified for. 【小题2】 This gave me a way to prioritize（按优先顺序列出）my schedule. I finished applications due（到期的）in October in September，November's deadlines in October，and so on.

After organizing everything，it was time to fill out the applications. Some were easy and took little time while others were long and tedious. Despite the amounts，which ranged from $100 to $40，000，I took each scholarship seriously because together they would fund my goal.

【小题3】 Almost every one required an essay about my extracurricular activities，commitment to education and career aspirations. To perfect my writing，I turned to friends，relatives and teachers for advice.

Now I have won 80 percent of the scholarships I applied for. After many hours of staying up late to finish them，I managed to receive over $ 100，000. Now，I can attend college completely free. I feel that a huge burden has been lifted from my shoulders. This fall，I am attending Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans. 【小题4】

The scholarship search truly made me a better person. I learned the importance of setting a goal and accomplishing it. 【小题5】 I'm delighted that I had the opportunity to learn more about my drive to succeed — I can push ahead no matter what obstacles are in my way.

I heard that you've just moved here. As one of our traditional festival and the one that receives great popularity，today was the Dragon Boat Festival. Fall on the 5th day of the lunar month of May every year，it is set in praise on an ancient Chinese poet Qu Yuan. Her poems are supposed inspire people's love of their country. Zongzi，boiling rice wrapped by bamboo leaves，is the famously food that you can't miss during the festival. Since you are busy with your work all the day long，I have specially cooked some for you.
